@iMacro Maf evidently had his trial extended for abusing sheriff which I believe prompted him to resign. Soulless talked about things that were said about someone in the staff slack and was demoted for it. Both were involved in making a Wildwest server of their own at the time as well, which makes me suspect they were treated more harshly, but I can't say for sure.

"first thing we did was go on survival and get scared by everything." Holy crap, that was my experience too. Minecraft legit used to stress me out way back when I first got it.

@Lord_Roke you were one of the higher-ups back then. I remember Cuddled calling me into a meeting out of the blue to talk with me about TheMafia's server. Can you speak as to the general sentiment of the higher-ups when it was discovered he was making a server of his own, or naw?

For context, this was at a period when we either had no coders other than Paul or Wildwest was getting no attention whatsoever. I think that's what prompted an attempt to make a server with some much-needed changes.

It's a shame that, despite the best efforts of myself and others, Wildwest never got the attention it deserved. It had so much potential. It just got stale and died before anything significant was changed.

I originally got staff for WW, but after a while. I went back to my roots as a WarZ player, because the server was dying. It was actually quite fun, till a few WarZ players decided to establish themselves on it.
But I really liked the, og WW groups vs the new WarZ groups. The WarZ groups were more dominate, because of the experience. I was kinda in and out of playing at this time, hopping from group to group.
Playing sheriff was fun, but Patryk or whatever his name was, forgot it lol. Used to, rob a certain train conductor, then horse parkour up a building so I couldn't catch him, he did this soo many times.
I remember a WW player made a practice WW server, but they messed up the guns so you could spam combo like pre-cooldown era WarZ. I think Soul and maf were involved, I don't think that was deadwood.
Also, I also still have fond memories of watching the yogscast survival playthrough which was really fun. SoI was also good, but it's a shame it just kinda died down.

and speaking of old MC experiences, I think I got the game right when Beta came out or maybe earlier. Either way, it was a janky and fun experience and I remembered making like 5 different houses in my first world.
It's a shame that I ended up going to the nether at one point and got lost, after which I changed worlds.

as for the first server I joined, it was a creative server called McBlocks. Still have quite fond memories of it, even if I was a stupid child on there trying to get ranks quickly.

I joined Brawl around 2013/2014 right after the apparent golden ages, some of my classmates telling me about Mc-War which I grew addicted to in the summer 2013 period. Don't remember playing many of the other servers such as WW or WarZ though.

yeah i also remember being able to play minecraft on the school computer in 5th grade because the dumbass it department thought that blocking "minecraft" from file names would stop people from just renaming it
The Internet was actually quite decent. Don't remember ever being screwed over by it or it crashing. Maybe it was a little bit choppy at times, but it was quite rare.

I remember my friend coming over and us playing hardcore metal for some reason as we went on murderer sprees at night killing all the enemies we could find but being scared whenever we saw a creeper.
Also, as for when I still play minecraft, it's usually on and off with friends for a few weeks before taking a break for months. I usually just do survival stuff and what not, which is pretty fun. (3128)
Yeah, nowadays I just watch the feed of the entire forums. Don't listen to Spotify tho, so I can't help you there, m8. Also, @Romkelolol, you're supposed to roast people who screw up the count. >:V
