my middle school possible highest was 4.0 with straight a's

APs are weighted as 5.0.
Honors are not weighted.
IMO, you should either be taking AP or regular classes.
Honors won't help that much other than look nice on your transcript.

I got a 3.96 or something like that, only because I had a B+ in P.E, got A's in all of my other classes so from an academic point of view I got a 4.0 :3
