So I take you haven't really read anything I've written. I've proposed numerous ideas from Agile software development, changes to how projects are managed & communicated, Lean Six Sigma process improvement, org structure changes, HR talent/recruitment strategies, and cultural transformation. What have you done purple Fanta? =D
1) We're already using methodology based on agile software development.
2) Basically the same as 1 and 3
3) Lean Six Sigma would be entirely unnecessary given our current developers are all active for the most part and work efficiently with our "flat" team hierarchy.
4) NomNuggetNom does our developers' HR work for us. He's pretty qualified afaik.
5) Brawl's culture really isn't going to change because of any actions taken by the upper management.
Then if all these things are going on why are things the way they are?
Brawl's culture of clarity and accountability needs to be driven by upper management. Based on what I have seen, I would counter that all the mentioned areas could use process improvement.
You suggest that things are all going well. I would beg to differ.
The community is merely under the impression that things are not going well. The issue here is communication; even with our GitHub bot and development logs, the community just refuses to acknowledge the progress we've made.
All the rant threads cite the fact that we've not made any major progress in a long time--this is an entirely false idea. Brawl has gone through some major improvements, but nobody realizes it because they deliberately ignore the evidence of our work.
So 2.0 being worked on and released in 2013 was a snafu of some sort. I've listed out other ideas, potential solutions, and creative ideas to help address root cause issues. Other than that, I'll acknowledge evidence of work when I see it and I believe the majority of the community feels the same way.
