First of all, it is very close to the book. Then the movie switches very quickly between action and more calm scenes, but I feel like thats just an accurate representation of the plot from the book. They could have done better in some parts, but it is still a great ending.
But Finnick actually sacrifices himself, Prim is just like "da da da, I'm going to run into a bomb, la la la, I should've read the script, de dee dum". @randomcitizen1
You can't deny that Prim's death was a turning point in the plot while Finnick's death was just like "Well, another sad death, but it already happened about 10 time before."
By the way I got so involved in the movie that when everyone clapped at Finnick and Annie's wedding, I forgot I wasn't in the movie and I clapped too xD
I suppose her shooting President Coin was mostly because of Prim's death, so I guess Prim gets points for that.
The critics were such jerks to it. Part 2 had a good rating for a while and then a whole bunch of haters spammed the ratings and it dropped down from a 84% to a 70% on rotten-tomatoes. Apparently the movie is too 'realistic' or 'sad' for the superficial minds of the media-heads.
