Uhhh...no. You can't combo a Viking because he has (basically) exactly the same range as you. And, even if you do combo him, he still gets enough...
You can 1-shot with a crit and Strength II if you have a stone axe as Viking / have an iron sword. Even against a half iron, that was ridiculous.
