    It actually is. Just barely.

    What I was aiming for with this idea was a sniper rifle that is in between a semi automatic sniper rifle and a bolt action sniper rifle, by the way.

    I like the idea of a damage nerf and the firing speed buff! It wouldn't be the old barret but let's just all agree that was overpowered.

    The Barrett is currently worse than the l118a, due to its lack of ammo. In my opinion, a Tier 3 sniper rifle shouldn't be worse than a Tier 1 sniper rifle.
    If anything, nerf the l118a damage and ammo, and buff the Barrett ammo. But I still think my initial idea is better compared to the new idea I just stated.

    I agree. When the Barrett was needed, it was very sad. I hope the Barrett is buffed.

    No, the Barret is much better than L118A, because you get new ammo per every 5 kills, as you already know.
    So clearly, you get a near-infinite supply of ammo, so there is no need for an ammo buff.

    Think of it this way.
    You get the Barrett at level 16. You're not that skilled, unless you're using an alt.
    You will mostly likely shoot several times and miss a lot, and then hit someone.
    Only to realize that you didn't headshot them. As you wait for the bullet delay to end, someone steals your kill.
    You finally kill some people with your Barrett and Magnum. Finally. But wait, you're out of ammo with both guns and you're on a 3 killstreak, because the prestige kept stealing your kills. Now what..

    But you've used the L118a a lot, so you'll be used to sniper rifles.
    You'll shoot just like you use L118a, but headshots are OSK now, so now you can get 5 killstreaks even easier.
    And also, if you're not skilled enough for Barret, you should just use AK47.

    I have used the L118a a lot. But it is likely that the newer players are not experienced with sniper rifles. Headshots have always been a OSK, but newer members likely won't know that unless they're told. Guns should be able to be usable, not useless.
