Yeah, perhaps it could break after you pick it up a certain amount of times. So you couldn't go through an FFA killing people with a tomahawk, picking it up, and killing another person. ( That'd be fun though :V )

You should be able to pickup the tomahawk and use it 2 more times before it disappears

 

Now, while I'll say tomahawk is not useless, there are better options for your lethal slot such as grenades or C4. I agree with having 2 tomahawks, and being able to pick up tomahawks is a nice idea, but it might need a tad bit of tweaking here and there.

 

I think 2 tomahawks would suffice, no need for a buff or anything.
