Nerf python.

You are comparing the barret nerf to this possible nerf, correct?

Well, in my opinion, you can't compare the two. The barret nerf was absolutely needed. It was a OSK with a bigger mag, faster reload, and lower level sniper than the Iso itself! It was nerfed because it was unfair. You had Level 20 people 1-shotting people. The Iso is an incredible gun, and very balanced. The nerf for barret was essential.

Now, this nerf for python? I'm not so sure. It rarely ever 1-shots for me, maybe 5% of the time. 1 reason given is that you can spam it around a all and anyone crossing it is instantly dead. This may be true for people who blindly charge around a corner. Python requires you to be strategic. Maybe use F3+A to see if someone is around a corner? You can easily kill someone camping with python. If said camper is in fact camping, they won't be expecting someone to be strategic and run out at an unexpected time. In this time frame, you can easily kill them. However, if a full on fight ensues, with each player strafing around each other, wouldn't it make sense for the higher level gun to win? It is still very possible for the lower level to win, but they must be skilled enough to do so.

I am undecided on this. I am leaning towards no, but I can see the reasoning behind this thread.

 

The 6 Mag seems good and realistic, but that's the only thing that possibly needs nerfed. The damage is good. its not one shot kill unless you get a headshot or have Stopping Power, etc. The price is good. It doesn't have the good no-scope accuracy like the Desert Eagle, thus making it not so OP as people think it is. Plus, it's a prestige weapon. You have to take the time to level up and buy it. Considering all of that, the python is absolutely perfect. These nerfs are not needed, but simply wanted.

 

I'm glad you didn't go for damage nerf.
I think this would be a pretty good nerf, but the problem is the rest of the community.
Like 98% of prestige players that have unlocked the Python use it every match. If you were to nerf it... the players would completely freak out. I wouldn't put it past a few of them to quit entirely.
I still think bringing it down to 6 shots is pretty fair, I'm just not sure how happy the community is going to be...

 

If someone is good, and doesn't rush the corner immediately, you have the element of surprise which can kill any opponent, no matter how strong.

Why nerf a LEVEL 38 gun to make it as good as a LEVEL 10 gun?
Higher level guns are designed to be better.

 

A firerate nerf wouldn't hurt, especially since it would retain its high damage and magazine/clip size.

DO NOT nerf the python its good the way it is .

 

8 shot revolver. 8 rounds fired in 1 second. Technically, this could be the actual equivalent to the python in real life. The only different is that it can be fired A LOT faster, and it has 8 rounds instead of 9.

 

Magnum can 1 hit you if you aim. You didn't play with magnum or gungame in a while huh?

 

I have 2 shotted with magnum. Since when could you 1 shot with it?

You could change the firerate if you wanted to. The only thing I am personally willing to give up on the python is maybe a SLIGHT slowing of firerate... I really enjoy that you can empty a skully clip then switch to python and empty a clip and when you switch back to the skully it's already reloaded and you can empty a clip and switch to the python which already reloaded for literally a CONSTANT STREAM OF DEATH!!! If you change the firerate too much or anything else to hurt my precious python, I will be sad...

You can in gungame before their armor spawns and right after spawn prot wears off if you headshot them (I've done it before)
