Idea Bandit/Hero Perks

    Bandit/Hero Perks:

    *Hey guys I don't know if this has been suggested yet, sorry if it has I have no intention of duping a thread, but here I go.*

    I was looking at the statistics from the poll taken considering the new map for WarZ and at the bottom, the "any other suggestions" section, I read something saying how we should implement a plug-in that could benefit certain types of players (bandits or heroes). Similar to actually DayZ, the bandits and heroes have known in-game perks;

    Heroes:
    • They run considerably faster.
    • They get a blood bonus of 2000 ( in other words, they get a little bit of extra health)
    • They are able to take more damage than the typical survivor
    Bandits:
    • They can deal more damage than the typical survivor
    • They have a "steadier aim"
    *If any of these facts stated above are wrong, I apologize ahead of time. I don't play DayZ so I just asked my friend who does play the known perks in-game*

    I personally thought that it'd be pretty cool to also implement some perks to the bandits and heroes of WarZ also! Maybe somewhere along the lines of DayZ too but something more suitable for the Minecraft version;
    Heroes:
    • They are 10% unlikely to get one-shotted
    • They have 1 extra heart
    • They can maybe run faster, Speed 1? (I understand that's unlikely but why not try and make it like DayZ)
    Bandits:
    • They can deal 5% more damage than the typical survivor
    • They can have their no-scope 5% more accurate
    • They can deal 5-10% more damage to players/mobs with their swords.

    In regard to comments from @LuckyPop and @bob8is8cool I would like to suggest a system that is also part of DayZ, a level system that would really define how much of a hero/bandit you really are. In other words there are up to 3 different levels of being a hero or bandit, 1 being the lowest level and 3 being the highest. Perks stated above could be separated into the different levels;

    Level 1 Hero:

    Must be +5,000 or above
    • They are 10% unlikely to get one shotted.

    Level 2 Hero:

    Must be +350,00 or above
    • They get 1 extra heart. (To replicate DayZ version of having 2000 extra health)
    Level 3 Hero:

    Must be +800,000 or above
    • They get Speed 1. (To replicate DayZ version of being able to run significantly faster than others)

    Level 1 Bandit:

    Must be -5,000 or below
    • They can deal 5-10% more damage to players and mobs with a sword.

    Level 2 Bandit:

    Must be -350,000 or below
    • They can have their no-scope 5% more accurate.

    Level 3 Bandit:

    Must be -800,000 or below
    • They can deal 5% more damage than the typical survivor

    Also keep in mind you do NOT lose the ability from the level before, you just simply accumulate all perks.

    I think it'd be pretty cool to have these implemented because you basically get to choose how to live your life, your Minecraft WarZ life at least. You can choose to have a different set of skills than the other players, whichever you prefer. Plus it's also in DayZ which this game is basically created off of, so why not take the this major aspect of DayZ and put it into the Minecraft version?

    Tell me what you all think about this, anything you'd want to add, or anything you'd want to remove? I just made this as a, one could say, rough draft to the final product that could be put into effect for WarZ in the nearby future.

    I think it's a good idea, but I think that heroes are a little over the edge compared to the bandits.

    This sounds like a great idea! You did a very good job on making this very neat and organized. I'd love to see this in game. My only problem is a lot of people are either bandits or heroes. No one is neutral. Maybe increase the limit of humanity until you get hero/bandit.

    Just like @bob8is8cool said great idea, but my only problem is no one is neutral so maybe increase the limit of humanity until hero/bandit :smile:

    I swear this used to be implemented. This is exactly why I became a bandit too.
    But yes, I do like the thought of it.

    Thanks for all the feedback! Hopefully the admin/coders will catch wind if this and find some time to implement this into the WarZ system.

    Maybe the Rank upgrade shouldn't be sooooo high.
    There IS neutrals out there. Most of my neutral friends turned into heroes but everywhere I go I see a Bandit. Most of the time I kill them. Othertimes I run.

    Haha lucky you, I'm only at +300,000. Using all the blood bags I can find :stuck_out_tongue:

    I only set it like that so that it sets a challenge for everyone to reach and to help balance this whole system. If it was easy to obtain these certain perks then it wouldn't be a challenge and more people would be running around with these perks, this way you actually have to work for what you desire. :stuck_out_tongue:

    I like this idea a lot, because at the moment the hero/bandit system is kind of useless, I mean if you don't base whether to attack someone on the colour of their nametag...? I mean that's like..racist.
