MC-WarZ Event: Results & Summary

So an event like this will happen monthly?

 

This. This is why I didn't enjoy the event at all, and just chilled in a remote area and gathered weapons to pass the time. The one time I had tier IV weapons, LuckyPop just turns around and kills me in two seconds with the P90 in like 5 bullets, so the long journey and the 7-way team that I had to kill (there may have been more than that) had been for nothing really. I didn't even get to see any of the staff members in their gear because I was about 50 blocks away from the base when killed. Kcl's team basically hogged the entire base so we couldn't get close to it, and if I killed some of their team they'd come back and kill me with their MVP. I couldn't really go back because the event was over in around 15 minutes after that, and if I came back someone on Lucky's team would shoot me in the face with a Barrett.

 

Hopefully, yes. As I stated earlier, yesterdays event was kind of a test event.
We wanted to see the response we would get from the community when running a large event as we did. And we also wanted to see how we can improve events for next time, which is kind of the point of this post.
We're going to try and run different events, but I wouldn't be surprised if you see this event appear again soon.

 

Maybe players in the zone around the base shouldn't be able to hit each other, but the staff and players can fight each other. Kind of like a force-friend that can't be unfriended, so that the non-donor players can die legitmately by a staff member, not Kcl's team.

 

Do you think the event would of been better if we had given you access to a kind of basic kit with Armor, Weapons, Ammo, Food etc. And then we disable enderchests throughout the event so people can just abuse the kits we give. So then everyone will of been equal?

 

I used the basic1 kit because it was my only chance (I used only the barrett) of getting even near the base. A kit with armor, food, and weapons can be nice. This event shouldn't be an FFA where its:
15 Staff members vs player vs. 7 players vs 2 players vs player vs 5 players.
Because that described the event quite accurately.

 

If this event was just a test, then what's to come must be very exciting.

 

If it's possible, all the items that are given in the kit can be removed from the players after the event with a command, so they still have to get their own loot to actually profit from it...

 

Also, would you of preferred the event if we say, had a basic Event plugin, that would Broadcast which staff members have died when e.g:

• GreenPeas_ has been eliminated

And other stuff such as that?

 

That would be awesome.
Also, the stream was a little boring in the aspect that most of the fighting was being done outside the fort, by the normal players fighting each other, and not really staff vs. players.

 

Yeah I thought it was a bit boring for you guys in the beginning because all I did was hide in a corner lol, thanks for your honest opinion.

Maybe there could be more staff or players recording/streaming, so we could get different perspectives next time?

 

Maybe perhaps if we had some guys in Vanish flying around, so the whole battle could be streamed?

 

That would be epic!
I could see Chap going into Vanish, putting on some Shaders, going into Cinematic mode, and making a montage of it later :v

During the event I happened to record both of the final kills on way2! Here they are:

I would totally do it myself, but I cannot run shaders without experiencing a mad FPS drop. When you do see shaders in a video of mine putty is who records them.

 

I believe @phantamanta44 was streaming and also I might stream if we do it again.
