I don't think this would cause FPS lag. If done correctly it could cause no lag, like the recoil on War's guns before recoil was removed because of a bug/out of mappers.

The concept isn't boring, the boring thing is that the only guns people use is skully and iso. If implemented and balanced correctly, people would start using lower tier guns like the AK-47 and spas12.

Some personal thought here, I don't know about you guys but when I play minecraft I try to immerse myself as much as possible and find that my vision sort of tunnels to the screen. I'm all for anything that would increase the feeling of... Well, being there. I think that this would be absolutely amazing to have in the game. It would make you feel like you were actually firing a gun!

Wonderful idea here gynamo, I hope to see this implemented!

Question: would the movement of the gun be increased to the rank of the gun or the power of the gun? In both senses the isolator would be all over the place but what about guns like the lemelington (I can't spell) that shoots weak shots but is a high level
(If what I just said made absolutely no sense then please say so)

It would probably be made similar to the base game and be based on current recoil and spread.
For instance, the M16 and M4 should have very low, if not non existent recoil. (yeahhh CoD logic)
However, the AK-47 would probably have higher recoil.
The MP7 would have slightly less recoil than the M10.
The L118A would have less recoil than the Isolator. Although the Barrett has huge recoil in CoD games, in MC-War the M82 doesn't retain its deadly stats. So it would likely have similar recoil to the L118A.
The Model would have large recoil while the M1014 and AA-12 would have less recoil.
The M9 would have less recoil than the Python, Desert Eagle, and Executioner.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are two issues that I've thought of.
In shooter games, most recoil is visual recoil. In other words, after shooting, your gun returns to its original position. There is some normal recoil, but most recoil is generally visual. How would this idea add the movement of the weapon to readjust for the visual after shooting?
Also, how could left and right recoil be effectively done and if added, countered ingame?

If this were to be implemented, hip-fire accuracy should be increased.
Hip fire accuracy for most guns is not even close to the reticule, and adding recoil like this would make it so that the only way to accurately fire would be to zoom.

Yes, I would definitely love to see something like this that improves gameplay style.

Would the kick act immediately, or would it be a transition to the original place up the the kick place. If there is not a gradual look to the kick, it will just look as if the player is lagging because it is jolting for a lower position to a higher one.

If i understood this question right, then it will not jump up in 1 move, it would do small moves many times.
Teleportation will not affect your FPS.

But all the commands on the same time would make your ping go up I think.

Then you would have lagged when your gun kicked you bsck with normal recoil (prior to removal).
And of course, recoil was removed because of a glitch that caused vertical recoil, not lag.
