    So anybody heard of rb5po?
So I just record me nuking with the l118a and deagle, and then he starts flaming at me for no reason. Here's how the conversation went:

    *tallscot launched tactical nuke!*
    Me: with l118a
    rb5po: tallscot
    Me: ?
rb5po: That's easy, I did it like 16 times on my alt. .-.
    Me: And? So what?
    rb5po: lol level 113
    rb5po: XD that kdr
    rb5po: You suck now tallscot
Me: rb5po you're saying I suck when you glitch every infect.
    rb5po: So?
    Me: *facepalm*
    rb5po: Whatever you noob

I play a few more rounds with him, and continue to kill him over and over again.

rb5po: tallscot I was wrong about saying you suck now.
    Me: Cool.
rb5po: Yeah, I was way off.
rb5po: You suck even more than I expected
Me: Dude I just killed you like, 8 or 9 times.
rb5po: Yeah with the mini gun
Me: 1. I don't even have the mini gun.
Me: 2. I'm using the Iso. How the hell do you get a mini gun from an Iso?
rb5po: You're lying I see you with the Iso.
    Me: Glad you noticed.
    rb5po: *minigun
Me: Make up your mind. Iso or mini gun?
    rb5po: Minigun.
I kill him with the Iso.
    rb5po: Barret noob

I eventually just start ignoring him, and then I win an ffa.

rb5po: Sorry I don't play with losers like you tallscot you suck so bad. Level 113 and that kdr XD 4.27 is a sucky kdr bye noob

    rb5po left the game

It's very annoying how people can act this way, especially if they're level 134 (rb5po's level)

The most skillful players I know seem to be everywhere on the map, wherever you go, they are there, and even though they are rushing around the map, not camping, they still nuke every other map. Put any gun in their hands and they will nuke. Of particular note are meltingangel, gynamo, and the mafiaferret of old days that could do this (joey could too btw although in his later days tended toward cbow spamming).

Other than that, my rule of thumb is to watch out for players with KDR of 3+ as they are probably pretty skilled, although that in itself isn't the only thing.

Being nice and careful doesn't exactly show skill. Skill is determined if you are flexible in a variety of guns and changes in the environment. But you are showing a trait that skillful players mostly have.

Skill is how you play not by what you have but how you use it. That being said, I stopped using Skullcrusher and Minifun for a few weeks now.

    How I determine someones skill.
1.I do not determine it by KDR or kills,or deaths.
2.I determine it by how well you work with others. How you can come up with a plan, execute it, and succeed. And how you can except a loss.
    3. Also the variety of guns you use. If you use minigun/minifun every round and don't seem to be able to except a loss ect. I might say you really don't have a extreme amount of skill (Don't get me wrong you still could have a fair amount of skill.)

You would be surprised how well my system works... After many years on war, I've noticed these traits actually truly show those who are skilled. People who are skilled generally focused on the game. They aren't going to talk off people because they are focused. If they are truly skilled, they generally try to help others. They will say GG when they are done however that is just being a good sport. Most skilled players are nice if you think about it (@Pikmin_Hunter =D ). Overall, there are flaws with my system however it works pretty well in finding skilled players.

Being a really nice person has it's capabilities :3
There's a huge difference in the role play of Skilled between "Nice" and "Rude" players. Nice players have a higher chance to be recognized in 'skill' and some other factors.

@MaltingFangel is all you need to know.
He's the main reason I'm so high level :v
Also it's nice to see players who can use other guns than the skully, cbow, ray, and iso and nothing else.
    Take @Jora for example
He plays well with bad guns

Skill is a parcel of what constitute a good player.
Skill is the in-game ability to get a lot of kills and don't die a lot, the ability to get high killstreaks, to use strategy, to do Good Games even with bad guns and so on.... skill can also be related to agility and precision, in order to do quick-scopes, jump shots, dodges, rushing incursions, multi-kills etc.
To sum up, skill is being good at the game (McWar)

So, a player who is rude and disrespectful can be considered skilled?
Yes they can, astonishingly, skill does not influence your personality, you can call other noobs and hackers and still be insanely good at the game, maturity and personality have no relations with your in-game ability.
However, as I said before, skill is only one parcel of what makes someone a good player, you can be skilled and be immature, and I don't think that this is the kind of good player, he is just skilled, but not a proper good player. If your personality is bad, your skill won't disappear but your "good player level" will drop, people will judge you by the personality too, instead of just skill.

I'm sure we all know quite a lot of examples of skilled players who are disrespectful due to immaturity and personality, so, the question on this thread is incomplete, because "What is Skill?" is easy to anwser, but what about "How do you judge a good player? Only by skill? What is the relation between skill and personality in this context?"

These might be the questions we're seeking for and the answers we're willing to respond, be wise, skill is just one thing, but it's not an entire good player, think twice before saying "this guy is a pro" and "what a good player" to someone. They might have skill, but are they actually good?

My turn to ask you guys, what do you think?
    -Skill > Personality
    -Skill < Personality
    -It's complicated...

I'll use your reply as an example, but a lot of people are saying the same as you.

I do not think that this is what we call skill, but this is what we should call a good player, what @tkdtorii said is one of the biggest parts of a good players, skill is in-game ability, but this, being nice, accepting a loss, doing team work, is even beyond just skills. What I seek for in a player is 'This' (lets call it personality) and skill, those two things need to work in harmony to make you a good player, that is definently the biggest challenge all players will face on McWar, having these two aspects working properly, that means, being a good player.

It's complicated. Skill and personality are 2 different things, which are not very related. One cannot be compared to the other. Life generally rewards skill more than personality, although success can be achieved through either. When it comes to MC-Brawl, if you are very skilled but have a bad personality you will still be very popular, but if you have a great personality but not much skill you are less likely to be considered successful on the server. That is a little bit of a problem for the continued popularity for this server as it needs to keep a balance of both. Skill is needed to give junior players something to aim for in the future. Personality is needed to build the community and make it a friendly place to be.

I base skill on how versatile you are, if you are a person who just camps around the corner and shoots anyone who comes through or if you are someone who just constantly shoots a doorway till someone comes through even if you have the best kdr and you nuke every round you have no skill.

I assume you me skill > awful personality and skill < superb personality.
I would rather game with a player with a superb personality than have skill. It makes sense because naturally nice people want to be by other nice people. I would rather only game with a skilled player with a awful personality in two situation. One would be to try and get better as a gamer myself. The other would be to help that player become less of a downer to others. No matter what I will always try.

This all depends on your meaning of "skill". Some people count the KDR, some don't .To me, a skilled player is someone who not only can use a variety of guns, but can also use good "communicational skills" such as Admitting defeat, Complementing shots, etc. In my opinion, you could define a "skilled" player with the following 5 traits:

    - Can get a good amount of kills regardless of his/her gun.
    - Fair maturity. (No boasting, No raging, etc.)
    - Doesn't camp 24/7.
    - Plays fairly and strategically.
    - Helps players in need of assistance.

But honestly, If you think about it, It is just a matter of opinion.
