    Yes, because a Glock-18 also fires pistol caliber rounds....
    Take the UMP45 for example. It is a German gun, and most games including our server, classify it as an SMG. Yet it's name is "Universale Maschinenpistole" (Universal Machine Pistol) So you could actually classify this weapon as a machine pistol.
    Another great example is the MP7. Also a German gun, it stands for Maschinenpistole 7 (Machine Pistol 7) and also the Mac-10, a weapon invented by Gordon Ingram, which the Mc-War servers classify as an SMG, but could clearly be a machine pistol. So "machine pistol" and "sub-machine gun" are actually synonyms.

    I am not completely sure about this, so correct me if I am wrong (with some evidence) but I think that MC only can make guns fire 1 or 2 ticks, where 1200 RPM and 600 RPM can be fired respectively.

    Machine pistol and sub machine gun are not synonyms. Pistols, whether machine or handguns, have a loading mechanism where the magazine goes into the handle. The PP2000's reload can be seen using the same motion in modern warfare 2. Pistols also have different firing mechanisms to SMGs.

    They are ROUGH synonyms, but still, you can understand where I'm coming from. After all, the Mac-10 could not be a better example of a machine pistol, yet it's an SMG.

    To be honest the MP7 is quite similar to the PP2000.
    Reload is overly long, and the delay between shots would be in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second; normal SMG delay = 2 ticks)
    Seems way too accurate as well; this kicks the other SMGs out of the water.
