Where did the Ray Gun originate in COD?

I really just read the entire thing for the zombies series and found it intresting and quite sad. If any of you take the time, you will see how screwed up the evil some people are.

 

The whole Ray Gun thing started as an easter egg in the campaign, no one knew why it was there, it just was. After completing the campaign you would unlock zombies mode and it would all make sense what it was pointing toward. The Ray Gun then became the main wonder weapon in zombies, they've had quiet a few, but the Ray Gun has been in every map yet, but now for the origins of it. The Ray Gun is the first wonder weapon created by Ludvig Maxis using Element 115 (Since it was originally used for weapons). But back to the point, it is a popular thing between zombies fans and is always something fun to get out of the mystery box. Off topic, I remember always trying to get the Ray Gun on Tranzit with my friend when Black Ops 2 came out, ahh good times.

The ray gun was a weapon of mass destruction(wonder weapon) created by Dr. Ludwig Maxis and the Group 935. It is fueled by the element 115. THe ammo is made of pure 115 cells. It first appeared in Nacht der Toten as an over-the-night project made by two employes of trey arch. The studio liked the idea of zombies, so they added it as a little bonus. The ray gun can be found in a mission too, but treyarch i believe did not know the two employes put it there.
