1.8 Updates

If it does, watch a bunch of people make threads saying that they'll leave the server if Pvp is reset.

From what I've seen a lot of cool stuff it coming, I will teach the staff members how to improve the lobby. Mainly where the skeletons and zombies are, when they have "McWar" or "MCParty" above them. I can show the staff how to make titles (words) use command blocks. This means I need to make a video for them. A lot of cool stuff is coming, however it won't be released until the end of July.

 

It might, just because there's a radius of 15,000 blocks. Most of the 15,000 blocks is loaded, and from my understanding I think this means nothing from 1.8 will load in the chunks that have already been loaded in 1.7. I'm not entirely sure about that though, but yeah. They might have to reset it, or code in some stuff. I have no idea really.

 

I got to say that off it resets I'm going to get pissed off, I got so much good gear than it would be just stupid to reset it since it is survival after all.

 

The 1.7 to 1.8 change in the world isn't been clarified by the staff yet, but from what I've heard, the Survival world might have 3 options.

1. The world will reset to make room for the 1.8 stuff
2. They will make a separate server for the 1.8 world and keep the 1.7 one to not anger anyone
3. Just keep the world after the 1.8 update until they figure out another solution

I think a reset would be quite important, so that the new animals and mobs can spawn better

 

Mobs and animals respawn naturally, you don't need a reset for that

 

Well without grass the animals don't spawn as much and the land is griefed so there is less places for possible animals.

This would be hard to figure out. If we reset the whole map and just completely restarted, then players who have taken a lot of time to get their items would be unhappy. Newer players who don't have that much would not be affected.

 

Thats why I still think that palyers should be able to keep their inventory when the map resets.

 

I feel as though a reset would indeed be necessary due to the fact that most of the 1.8 stuff would not be able load in on our current map. However, I do think that it would be unfair to players like myself that have spent a decent amount of time on this server acquiring good gear and such only to have that taken away by a reset. Those are just my thoughts =3

 

Maybe an enderchest plus your inventory? Provide more items you can bring.

 

I agree with Bass, if we got an enderchest and our whole inventory for the reset, It would help us older players. The problem is, I don't think they can do that for us.

 

I understand that, but I think a reset would be great for the server. I don't exactly know a lot about the 1.8 update but I do know there are new animals. And if the animals are to be found in certain biomes (since this is supposed to be a realistic survival server) it would make it more fun. But I also think with the new update the map should be a little bit bigger to fit all the new things in. I also agree with the inventory idea, because I don't want a full reset, just a map reset

 

I think Bass means just for the reset. They aren't going to enable enderchests because it is too OP
And I think Roke means move it into your inventory...
