how should i do this

My general setup for WarZ is sword on first slot, sniper (Pistol for alternative option),Automatic weapon, shotgun, food, drink,bandage,compass and either shears or grapple.

But you can use what seems most comfortable.

 

My setup goes:
1. Best food you got at the time(not mnt. dew).
2. Automatic Weapon.
3. Sniper rifle.
4. Shotgun.
5. Other food.
6. Sugar.
7. Bandage.
8. WireCutters.
9. Compass(if none replace with sword).

 

My going to redo this to make more "sense"

1. Sword
2. Sniper
3. Automatic
4. Shotgun
5. Food
6. Drink or food
7. Bandage
8. Compass
9. Shears or Grapple.

It's kind of similar to @LuckyPop and @xgen42 's setup but slightly different, it's the setup that seemed most comfortable for me in the beginning.

It depends on how well you hotkey and/or scroll.

The way my keyboard and mouse are laid out, I can hotkey 1,2,3 and 4 while running around with W. So I keep my most important items in those positions. Here is my setup:
