This I agree with. I try and control the chat, but I am told to f*ck off. There is a lack of respecg to people who are not staff trying, to control the chat and brwak up arguments.

Well, in their defense why would you listen to some random guy?
Staff have authority over players, but this doesn't mean that players have to have authority too.

    ^^
This is exactly why I would even want staff, to help on forums and in-game with the players that don't believe anyone that isn't a pink/purple tag.

If you know this problem then why haven't you been more of an advocate for fixing said problem?
I would agree with brawler, mod status carries huge levels of power while a stranger doesn't have as much. HOWEVER I have seen multiple instances where a 100+ has broken up a fight even though they didn't have admin/mod status (and the people in said fights knew this about the person because they weren't complete noobs)

That's respect for a player. Normally you wouldn't listen, but if say, I told people to break up a fight, they would likely break it up. Why? Because I was a former moderator before resigning and I'm respected. You have to gain that in the community. However it's really hard anyways.
A lot of the stuff in War shouldn't happen, but it does anyways. Elitism :/
