Creative Competition: Skywars Maps

    Building Information:
    Skywars is out! We've got lots of maps, but we need more. Winners will receive prizes, nicknames and have their map included in the skywars server! and their builds will be posted in the "Sponsored Events" thread under the News & Info shortly after the competition ends.

    All entries built in the Skywars contest world at /warp contest will be archived for viewing purposes after the contest is over. We highly recommend you build your entry there.

    Prizes:
    1st:     $35 in the McBrawl Store, Creative Rank Upgrade, Nickname on creative, Map Added to Skywars.
    2nd: $25 in the McBrawl Store, Nickname on creative, Map Added to Skywars.
    3rd: $20 in the McBrawl Store, Creative Rank Upgrade, Map Added to Skywars.

    The creators of any other map that is added to Skywars will receive 30 days MVP on their server of choice.


    Requirements & Info​
    Building​

    Must have:
    • One island per player spawn (8 total)
    • Some kind of wood source
    • At least one chest per personal island
    Suggested:
    • Coal and iron ore in each personal island
    • Diamond ore in the center island
    Notes:
    • The rarity of the ores and chest amounts differs the gameplay greatly.
    • Large maps will not be added. They cause server lag when played. Maps should have the total radius of around 50 blocks.


    Player Spawns​

    Beacons signify where the player cradle (the glass cage) spawns at. Place the beacons around 20 blocks above each personal island. The players will not take fall damage on the first drop.


    How Loot Works​

    When players open fully empty chests the server will fill it with loot from our loot table. If the chest already has something in it, the server will not fill it with any additional items. Double chests will not be filled if they are empty or not!

    List of maps already implemented (it's alright to have some similar ones):
    • Outlawed (Mesa-type biome)
    • Scwamp (Swamp temple)
    • Coast (Lighthouse)
    • Egypt (Desert temple)
    • Blossom (Styled similar to spawn)
    • Gnome (Mushroom biome)
    • Frost (Winter/snow biome)
    • Fatal (Nether themed)
    • Dragon Breath (End themed)

    As stated above, we suggest building in the /warp contest world where your builds will be saved and available for easy viewing. Although, you may build in any world you desire.

    Great contest!
    I've one question:
    Why is there wool needed in every spawn island? Not because I don't like it, just want to know for why it needs to be there.
    Edit:
    Sorry, I read 'wool' instead of 'wood'..

    It states that the island has to have some sort of wood source in the map requirements.

    You probably missread it, there should be wood. If you don't find blocks in your chests and there is no wood, you are pretty much screwed.

    shouldnt 2nd get rank upgrade and 3rd get nickname? seems wierd to me :V

    You can apply for ranks, but you can only get nicknames through competitions.

    Why cant we use WE for this? I think it kinda sucks that i cannot change so each Island has its individual biome :/
