Something needs to be done about this..

The only SMOD that I think is suitable in all areas at the moment is @Lord_Roke. If he doesn't get it, my second guess would be @XxIronRavenxX. But seriously, Gigga needs someone else. There were a lot less hackers when Colonel, future, lloyd, etc. where here.

 

Alright. This will be the only semi-rant I have... promise. okay? okay.

This server has an insane moderator/staff application process. You have to be near perfect to get moderator. I, according to some moderators, was very capable of becoming moderator. However, I make rants (The irony) and that prevented me from getting moderator. There are tons of players who deserve to get moderator, well not so much deserve but are capable, who don't get the rank. That being said, McBrawl has some of the best moderators. However, the community has a fear of abuse. This causes moderators to become useless. Moderators are there to answer questions, record hacks like the rest of us, and to have a nice purple or pink name. So why have them? We have respected players in the community, like the post above mine, who can answer all your questions. My view is that the staff's fear of abuse is causing the hackers. Who are the ex-staff members? Specknav, JakeXBL, Buddycrack, and Chopo101 in November. They resigned. In October Rainywolvess resigned. In September Ryanhascorn, iErebos, Cbsusd, and GreenPeas_ all resigned. Back in August BrawlerAce_, FC_MercuryEL7, Xgen42, Tallscot, and Colonel_Chris all resigned. None of these moderators were demoted to abuse. They may have resigned, some for inactivity, but they sure didn't abuse. Correct me if I'm wrong, but munkeywr3nch was the last person to be demoted for abuse, back several months ago. Therefore, why do we not trust out moderators to ban someone, for say, 3 days? Moderators have to have so many requirements, have to pass a hard application process, and make it out of a trial status where they are closely watched. My question, in conclusion, is this. Would you rather have a server where hackers ruled it with the staff unable to stop it, or have a server with moderators who may abuse every now and then. You decide.
