Forums Mod?

As a former staff member and forum user only myself, the idea simply doesn't appeal to me. The majority of mods and GMODS get the job done well locking and such, and SMODS handle the moving and deleting well. I never had a problem doing these things, and I don't see any problems now. If the forums become so out of control that these Moderators (promoted not only for in-game, but for forums and TeamSpeak, that's too often overlooked) cannot handle it, then I say go for it, add them in, but for now, there is no point. And going back to the point in parentheses, several forums questions are asked in the application, and yet people think mods only do in-game.

 

This has been discussed many times and never implemented. Why? There are no real pros do doing this, and the expense for it is unnecessary confusion. The forums are maintained just fine with the staff we have. Doing this would be like doubling the size of the United States Senate; each state would get twice the votes, but what would that do but make a bigger mess?

The forums exist for the soul purpose of communication. It's a place for the admins to make announcements, and for players to give feedback/report problems. The forums aren't a separate "gamemode" of any sort that requires its own division of moderators to regulate.
