    I think this is a good idea. It gives players a chance to improve on the topic that they where denied for.

    I don't have a problem with you joking around with your friend, but i do have a problem with you spamming caps, and bypassing the chat filter and using a rude word. It doesn't matter if this was recent, it still reflects your image in chat that could have been cast earlier on in february. Next time msg your friend so you're not breaking chat rules. If you have anything else you would like to say pm me.

    Sig and I mainly do staff apps. If you honestly have no idea why you were denied, start a conversation with him and/or I, and we'll get back to you shortly.

    False. Roke and I have the forums covered nearly the entire day; constantly locking threads, deleting posts, and warning players.
    We don't deny applications if they don't have a comment on them anymore.

    That is only part of the reason. The other part is, if you have more S-Mods commenting on your staff application, they all won't say the same thing. Then you will know exactly what to improve on.


    I didn't say I knew 100% sure, but thank you for the correction. It's just I haven't seen much of it.

    I don't think you realize that first SMods are humans that have a life. And they have a lot more things to do instead of going though applications when moderators and admins are doing it.

    There are a lot of applications which obviously do not need any sort of reply. If someone tries to apply and they lack any kind of activity, are clearly underage, and did not even bother to put any time into their application I don't think a reply from a higher up is needed. Simply linking these people to the stickied thread is all that is needed.

    We have been trying to not deny applications that have 0 replies, as Iron said, but sometimes we just forget or deny an application without thinking about it. Applicants that clearly put time into their application and are denied without a reply should not be happening.

    However, with higher ups replying to every application slows down the process a lot. Phrasing the deny reason can be really hard sometimes and following it up with the applicant trying to refute the reason why you denied them can be really time consuming. Sometimes we don't really have a perfect and exact reasons why someone was denied. Not saying we have a bias, but we just know when someone should not be moderator. Discussing these applications can be really difficult.

    Replying on applications that are kind of alright require a well typed response in order to not seem disrespectful.

    Overall, if we could just comment things like "TS activity", "immature", "too new", etc that would be great and dandy. But, we cannot do this because everyone wants some kind of more in deph explanation (and they always want to refute the reason in a PM). I guess we can do some type of copy pasta replies for most applications, but the moderators have already nailed this tactic.

    I mentioned that applicants without much in their application shouldn't even be bothered with.

    And how about make it that at least 2 S-Mods should reply to applications, as well as the many Mods that do as well? I know it can seem like too much, but there aren't that many genuine applications out there.

    While I do agree that applicants should be given a reason for why their application is denied, I do not feel as SMods have the time. They have a lot of items on their plate, and replying to applications is not one of them. Usually, members are denied for pretty obvious and self explanatory reasons. Plus, if you ever wish to know, you can always ask.

    Thank you for this Putty, it really cleared some things up that weren't covered. I guess the real problem here is time, and I do understand how Smods and other mods can be extremely busy with other things than to always respond in-depth with every application.
