Blackout- Hands off please

I'd be quite disappointed. I assume Whiteout would be taken off too? Although, it does LOOK better than Blackout.

 

Where did you hear this? If it is true, then please do not remove blackout, let us have and say in what maps we want to keep or remove.

 

Blackout will not be removed. Several maps may be retextured, Blackout included, but only the aesthetics will be changed. Gameplay on all maps will remain almost entirely unchanged unless a structure looks really ugly.

The maps will be reworked by the Kodo build team (click my sig for info), which is comprised entirely of Build and CTF mods and regulars - with the exception of @MrOhs, who will be overseeing the project along with myself. I'd love to encourage you all to get involved if you believe you're a good enough builder.

Wow. This really kills me more than when I saw that mcpvp was sold. I LOVE blackout and if you remove it, you'll have to remove whiteout too. Both of these are my 2 favorite maps, and seriously, everyone loves blackout. It's one of the few old maps that has stayed alive. It's going to be a great loss for most people. I'm being honest here, most of the servers you have are un-balanced and laggy. If you do remove that map, and many other's that are apparently "like" it, you surely will loose many migrants.

Blackout would never be accepted now and it should never have been.

If you would do that, it shouldn't just be because of how it looks and game play. Many people love the game play and sometimes looks, maybe It's just something with you and a few others. If so many people love it, and you are the few who I have seen hating it to death, I'm not sure it will happen. Plus, did you ever have a bad experience on blackout? Maybe that's why you hate it so much.

 

Hey brawl staff, do not touch any of the maps. Let the CTF mods do that

 

No, it's just a bad map. The aesthetics are bad and the gameplay is subpar. If it were to be reevaluated without rose tinted glasses it's obvious that Blackout would never be accepted as a map.

 

Agreed. Brawl staff don't do anything just let the originals do the work.

I did . It looks like you have great builders in your team . I'm sure you'll do a great remaking some ctf maps , so I can play on them.

 

It can't be as bad as you are stating.

If everyone played it daily, and this including staff, I'm sure it would come to everyone's attention of how bad the aesthetics are and the gameplay too. If it were to be reevaluated, it would pass.

 

Blackout has great amazing gameplay.
It's one of the few maps I actually play.
Oh and don't add to much aesthetics. Like 20 trillion slabs and stairs. Because I'm gonna lag my ass off.

 

No maps will be removed now (except those intended for removal in Wave X, whenever it will be released). =)

 

Before telling the brawl staff to re-evaluate decisions, first find out whether or not those rumors are true! C'mon man.

 

No maps are being removed because they are "too ugly." Maps will obviously be reworked as we see fit, but no maps are going to be outright removed. Please don't jump to conclusions!
