Second, why is there even this presumed need to allow players to see cursing on screen through a mechanic proposed in this topic? Is your gaming experience really determined that much by how freely you may see swear words and type them in the chat? Or by how much the curse words are blotted out? To me, it's really sad that the fact that the filtering of swear words in chat is being labeled as a 'problem'.

Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of the filter because it's only so effective - and does need to be fixed in some ways - but I agree with @KingBrawl and @Shawn_ , allowing for a mechanic that allows you to see cursing and to do so freely isn't necessary. I swear from time to time and are tempted to multiple times in game but I don't have any desire to see the return of the plethora of random cursing and sexual innuendos to the in game chat.

I personally agree with what Admiral wrote, there isn't really a point in it. I can see SoCools side of the argument but I still believe it would be a waste of time.

Makes sense I suppose, but what about the young members who have their minds blackened by older people?
