Idea Class idea; Shaman

    Sorry for a lot of threads lately, last one for a while I promise.

    So I had this idea for a unique class that's kinda supporty, kinda defensy, but can go offensively if needed.
    The spells with cooldowns work like Mage, where the XP bar is the cooldown bar.

    Also the class is based on the idea of wards/aoe traps you set on the ground.

    Passives;
    Weakness I
    Night Vision

    Loadout;
    Diamond Boots and Diamond Helm
    Stick ~Shaman's Staff~
    Blaze Rod ~Shaman's Revenge~
    Redstone Torch *off* ~Shaman's Defense~
    Redstone Torch *on* ~Nature's Fire~
    Lilac ~Nature's Blessing~
    Glowstone Dust (6) ~Warding Dust~

    Iron Axe ~Shaman's Staff~
    Has knockback II, gives Swiftness I for 4 seconds if you hit an ally with it

    Blaze Rod ~Shaman's Revenge~
    Target the ground/blocks within a ~20 block radius. In a 5 wide, 5 across AoE, all the surface blocks in that AoE emit those particles you get when you get near the void/bedrock for 5 seconds. If enemies step into the AoE they are given Wither I for as long as they are in the area (mostly just to hide their health) and Weakness II for as long as they are in the area.
    This field lasts for 4 seconds
    13 second cooldown

    Redstone Torch *off* ~Shaman's Defense~
    Target the ground/blocks within a ~10 block radius. In a 8 wide, 8 across AoE, all the surface blocks in that AoE emit the particles that you make when you hit someone with an enchanted weapon. All allies in this AoE are given Resistance I for as long as they are in the AoE and Thorns II (where if you're hit, the attacker gets low damage dealt to them (about 1 heart?)) on their chestplate as long as they are in the AoE.
    This field lasts for 5 seconds
    15 second cooldown

    Redstone Torch *on* ~Nature's Fire~
    Target the ground/blocks within a ~20 block radius. In a 5 wide, 5 across AoE, all the surface blocks in that AoE emit the particles that are given off when you start breaking a redstone block. All enemies in this AoE are set on fire for as long as they are in the AoE.
    This field lasts for 4 seconds
    10 second cooldown.

    Lilac ~Nature's Blessing~
    Target the ground/blocks within a ~15 block radius. In a 7 wide, 7 across AoE, all the surface blocks in that AoE emit the ender pearl particles (the expanding one that happens with the ender pearl lands). All allies in this AoE are given Regen I and Strength I for as long as they are in the AoE.
    This field lasts for 6 seconds
    19 second cooldown.

    Glowstone Dust (6) ~Warding Dust~
    Punch the ground with this dust and that block turns into a glowstone block that emits either the lava drip particles if you're on red team or the water drip particles if you're on blue team (they shoot up like 2-3 blocks and then fall down for as long as the spell is in effect). Each block you punch uses up one Glowstone Dust ~Warding Dust~. For each 'spelled' block, the block right ontop of it acts as a fence, and enemies cannot pass through or jump over it.
    These wards last for 4 seconds
    The Glowstone Dust ~Warding Dust~'s experience bar fills up every 8 seconds after you spend one, and each time it fills up you gain a dust (max of 6)

    If the fields are used wisely you can help hold choke points, defend your base, or help an offensive led by your allies. The fields themselves can be used of course to attack the enemy or to kind of guide them a certain direction (a possible ally ambush, etc.).

    I just love the idea of casters, and realized there wasn't really a purely AoE mage.
