Idea CTF Title messages

    Hey guys,

    So since Mcpvp migrated to brawl, important chat messages were moved to the Minecraft 1.8 Title function. It makes it easier to get notified for events ingame, but it does bring some problems:

    As you can see, it obstructs the view for ranged classes and makes it harder to follow the track of an arrow, which is used to correct your aim. Now the titles only last for ~ 2 seconds, the amount of messages displayed in the middle of your view makes the difference. Currently, there are titles for these events (excluding the "Welcome" screen):
    • Stealing the flag
    • Dropping the flag
    • Picking up the flag
    • Recovering the flag
    • Capturing the flag
    • Winning/losing the game (Victory!/Defeat!)
    An idea would be to move a few of these messages back into chat, so that only these most important messages are displayed in titles:
    • Capturing the flag
    • Winning/losing the game (Victory!/Defeat!)

    Stealing, dropping, picking up and recovering would be moved into chat. Stealing a flag comes with a thunder sound, so if you are unsure if your flag was stolen, check chat, noises and changes on the scoreboard now and then. What do you think?


    EDIT: Turns out there are two commands to move the flag alerts into the chat, but they currently do not work. Hope that gets fixed!

    the problem of the titles is that you cant shoot as archer so good anymore

    They could use sub-titles instead of the bigger titles.

    This is viable. Perhaps replace the larger titles with this and make them toggleable.

    They could let you choose from the old layout or the new and bring the wool back.
