[Bacon Brawl #2] Picking Up The Pace

Introduction

Bacon Brawl is back...again! Sorry for the odd release dates, CTF didn't have much going on until recently. Now that CTF has been re-released things have been set in motion and there's finally news to report!


CTF Is Released!

If you live under a rock then you probably never heard that CTF was released! CTF is finally out and you can connect on the usual mcctf.com. There are currently numbered CTF servers from 1.mcctf.com to 4.mcctf.com and is subject to change as development progresses. Bugs are inevitable, but the gamemode is still rather stable. Currently, the biggest issues regarding CTF involve the GUI and Flag Changes. They are both getting a lot of hate from the community but Nom currently shows no signs of budging. Hopefully the commotion will blow over soon.




Pyro Rework(s)!

Recently, Quarrelt posted about the official plans for a Pyro Rework! Unlike the previous reworks the post covers a multitude of rework plans that can be possible. Currently the reworks are in the process of getting feedback, and speculation of its development would be sometime after CTFs official release.

There are reworks for both instakills and non-instakill variations. This allows the community to have more of a voice regarding the direction CTF will take, and many seem to be favoring the instakills route. Feedback is really appreciated, as well as your own unique ideas to help balance Pyro!

CTF Map Review!
Shadow has managed to review a map made by Shawn_ on video! Due to build being glitched at the moment, it will be a bit hard finding maps to review properly. Even so, we will try our best to get these reviews out. This time, Shadow has only one map to review.

Moderator Changes
Shortly after Brawl’s acquisition of mcpvp, the admins have changed the staff system to a decent degree.

Mods start off as Trial Mods, then they make their way up from Junior to Normal Moderators (Which are replacing Global Moderator). The main difference is the fact that Moderators can now ban with sufficient evidence. The Junior Moderators take a quiz shortly after being accepted to gauge how well they are at banning hackers. Currently, some of the CTF Moderators have already been promoted, whilst the others must wait longer.

MinecraftBuild is Back!
The last of the gamemodes from the MCPVP acquisition is finally online. Currently, the gamemode isn’t Officially released, and there are quite a few bugs in the system at the moment. For those who are unaware, Build is essentially a much more advanced version of Creative which allows players to use WE with certain limits. Please report any Build Related glitches to this thread:

Build is a great step up compared to Creative, but some people are a bit alarmed to the change. It’s the kind of alarm akin to the flag changes, which shows how similar Brawlers truly are to us.
