Idea [Proposal] End the tyranny of Teamwork

Teamwork. When I was a young lad and still a new player I thought Teamwork was a good thing. But now recent events and long term experience have convinced me that Teamwork is every bit the work of Satan just like gluten - free blueberry bagels (you try eating those things, they are nasty!), and Socialism.

Think about it for a moment. You might be playing CTF, minding your own business and just living your life in peace and harmony and then a couple of dickhead Heavies from the blue team gang up on you. However, you being the god of PvP and sexiness take them on and 2 of them are down before a medic backs them up. Then here comes a Ninja and then Satan's overly enthusiastic/perverted little helper (also known as Pyro) runs over, lights you up and its over.

I have experienced this in game before and I have only one question to ask of you - how in the hell is this fair? This is f-ckin' bullcrap communism here! That's what we're up against as individuals - the tyranny of the Teamwork.

Franklin D. Roosevelt said it best when he said that "there is nothing to fear but Teamwork itself."

He was right. Teamwork allows for all sorts of horrifying situations in CTF. Dwarfs can camp in the flag-room because of Teamwork. Heavies are out of control like never before and Mage teams are the nightmare of any squishy. Is it right for us to continue to use the failed policies of Teamwork? No I say. No!

Teamwork is not only OP but it is not noob friendly and it is killing this game-mode because of it!

You might be ready to protest at this point with statements like "but Admiral, how are the noobs supposed to get better at the game without teamwork?"

There is a simple response to this. Everyone is an individual and you've got to pull yourself up by your own bootstraps if you want to be successful. Noobs can do it. Any Christian can do it. You don't have to look any further than the good Holy Book to see how Jesus pulled himself up by his own sandals and became the King of the Jews and the first name of hundreds of thousands of latino children. I say that the days of Pyro + Medic combos in the flag-room must end! The noobs can learn on their own.

But I want to make it understood before I continue that I am not being harsh to the noobs. On the contrary I am speaking in their best interests. Removing teamwork will be good for them. It will teach them how to survive like Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings. It will teach them courage and not to constantly scream and holler for a medic every time something gets screwy! Removing teamwork will make better players, stronger players. After all, when the hell did anyone get better at something by being cuddled the entire time? Through teamwork we are teaching new players that it's okay to treat medics like tissue paper and that is wrong!

But that is not all. Teamwork must be removed because it is Obamacare (Satancare) for CTF. It forces everyone to work for the benefit of the many - for damn near nothing! Teamwork is OP because it breaks the game by enslaving medics to do the bidding of Pyros, Dwarves, and Heavies.

So you may ask how can this terrible system of unbridled Teamwork be fixed? I have a simple solution:

Bring some America to CTF.

How?

It's simple. Bring back XP. You gain XP by getting captures in game. XP would be stored in stats and in order to recieve medical attention you would have to pay 5 to 50 XP depending on how many hearts you need healed up. But if you can't pay that's not the Medic's fault. It's not the Medic's fault that some random decided to be a clunkhead and not capture the flag like they're supposed too! But current CTF socialism seems to think so and forces the Medic to heal players for free! That is a travesty on the rights of a medic in my opinion and such free access is extreme Teamwork.

But this is just where the fight to reclaim CTF begins.

End the tyranny of Teamwork.

Save CTF.
