    Hi guys,

as I noticed in the past 20 games, many new players in CTF do not know how to use the Medic class correctly.

In very critical situations, for example when holding the flag and having no steaks/healpots left, having a medic is really important. But the chance to actually get a medic is very low at the time of this post.

So here is how to correctly use the Medic class and get known under the "advanced CTFers" at the same time:

    1. If the other teams flag gets stolen by a player on your team you have to SUPPORT him. If the flagcarrier types /m (Medic!) in the chat, its a signal for you to hurry up.
So use your compass and track the player which is holding the other teams flag. If you can see the flagcarrier, (a player with a red/blue banner on his head) you have to aim at him with your sword and spamm the Q key (your key to drop an item). If you did this correctly you will see the following message in the chat: "You asked x (IGN name of the player) to wait up!

    2. The flagcarrier now sees that you want to support him. If the flagcarrier is not completely stupid he will come to you and expect you to restore his items. Now you have to hit him with your golden healing sword as fast as you can. If you successfully healed the flagcarrier, you will see a red heart over his head, and mostly the thanks message in the chat /ty (Thanks!).

    3. If the flagcarrier dies, (through a headshot or whatever) you should try and pick up the flag (a blue/red banner) and run to your base. If player who stole the flag says "Cap it" in the chat, he wants you to go right next to your team wool, and capture the enemies flag. If he does NOT say this, you have to try and find the previous flagcarrier, and drop the banner.

Medic also can be used to steal and capture the flag, if the enemies defence consits a strong pyro and no class which deals heavy damage (like ninja/buffed haevy/chemist).

An example for a very skilled and trusty medic is @VN2004

Pro Tip by @ningeek212 Do not use your steak unless you are lower than 4 hearts. Medic has the regeneration I effect, so it is regenerating life farely quick.

This is only a partial guide to medic. Medic has many more uses besides healing flag carriers. For example, defensive medic is a very important role. Without it, defense can be difficult. Having a medic on defense improves your defense, because you don't have to respawn to gain back health or items.

Theres plenty more, as people have said, such as strategies for healing, capping, webbing, pvping, etc, but most of those just takes experience of playing the class itself! But one of medics number one rule is trying not to eat steak. The reason is medic is one of the only classes that have a fairly fast regen (others are mage, ninja somewhat, and anyone near cake), so you want to save your steak, and only use it if you are about to die (don't be too conservative with it though, you are still fairly squishy) and one of the ways to conserve your steak when pvping or capping is to web the people against you, so they won't be able to hit you. I suggest learning basic webbing techniques such as jumping then throwing a web under you, to slow people down that are chasing you, and get a feel of how webbing works.

It's helpful, but don't be discouraged by the poll up top (everyone so far voted they already knew it) since I think CTF regulars/advanced players would mostly be the ones reading this on the forums.

You are totally right. Medic also can be used to cap/distract.
I did this post becuase i was so done with passing medics at 3 hearts and not get healed.
Also, I was hoping for some less experienced players to get more knowledge about the medic class.

Of cousre there are soo many other strategies with the medic class. This was just a basic guide/noob help.
I will be integrating you tips into the post. Thanks for saying.
