Tons of Lag on this Map

    I don't know about you but for some mysterious reason this map is SUPER laggy for me. I don't think this is just client side lag cause I'm on a good internet connection and none of the other maps were laggy at all. Plus a lot of other people were getting or complaining about lag in the chat. (Ik the screenshot doesn't show it)

    I'm only lagging when I'm trying to fight people but when no one else is around it's not so bad.

    Could the map be a problem?

    A lot of people lag on this map, including me

    I heard that a lot of slabs and stairs causes this, so maybe thats the issue, but either way it probably needs a little fixing up...

    If you are to look closely at this map you will notice something.
    THERE ARE A MILLION TORCHES EVERYWHERE
    I've improved lag by turning off smoke and flame particles in optifine options, as that's what torches give off

    Haha yeah that would explain part of it. Some other things I've noticed is that there's an unnecessary number of leaves and vines scattered all over the map and those (the vines mainly) do cause some lag.
    I had my 'particles' setting set to minimum... that reduces the particles from the torches right? Because that didn't help with the lag and neither did turning the particles display off entirely.

    I don't know how but for some reason I don't lag on that map. o-o Instead I actually play better on that map compared to all the other maps. .-.

    Yep, I'm another one who gets a lot of lag from this map. It's really sad as well because I like the map, it's just so laggy

    I don't lag on this map but I do lag on both the kingdom island maps.

    I bet I forgot some maps that lag

    Edit:
    Same here, I get massive fps lag as soon as I start left/right clicking on those maps.

    Defending on this map is a pain esp the flag room. They should just remove the laggy maps because they aint helping anyone.
