Hi there heres a guide on how to play better on ninja :]

For those who see the "???" around this thread those are the details that I'm not sure about and for those who are kind enough please inform me in the thread below so I can make edits to those details. Thanks

Introduction: Ironically I main Archer instead of ninja, but I do know a few tricks up my sleeve and play a decent ninja. Lets start with what the ninja has

    Armor: none
Sword: Gold (Sharpness 4 (rip ;n; ) and (Unbreaking 5)

1st slot: Ninja sword (abilities below)
    • Crouch while holding a sword to regenerate health (half a heart per second) (???)
    • Regenerating with the flag regenerates health twice as fast (not sure if its still in the code @NomNuggetNom (???)
2nd slot: Enderpearl (renamed teleportation pearl)
    • Like a normal enderpearl once it lands when thrown you loose two (full) hearts of damage
3rd slot: 10 Chicken eggs (renamed flash bomb)
    • When thrown and by the time it lands it creates an small explosion confusing all within a small radius (nausea and slowness for 3-5 seconds) (???)
    • If upon contact on an enemy player (thrown and hits a player on the other team directly) this will create the blindness and slowness effect for 2 seconds and then receives the nausea and slowness effect for 3 seconds) (???)
4th slot: 64 Redstone dust (renamed invisibility dust)
    • When held you become invisible and your redstone depletes by two every second when standing still and walking
    • When running your redstone depletes by 4 every second
    • When crouching your redstone depletes by 1 every second
    • Cannot go invisible for 1 or 2 seconds once you hit someone in anyway (sword, punching, and punching with eggs, pearls, or redstone dust) (redstone dust becomes glowstone dust and will shortly revert back to redstone dust if you don't hit the enemy in anyway) (???)
    • Cannot go invisible if you have the flag (redstone dust now becomes glowstone dust (renamed silly powder))
    • Punching someone while invisible while holding your redstone will make you become visible
    Tips:

    General tips:
Always use your arsenal to the fullest. This will allow you to avoid, decimate, and become an annoyance to players on the other team. Regenerate health at a secluded spot where no one on the enemy team would find you. Always use your pearls to cover distance when chasing someone or a flag holder. You can also use these pearls to throw off your enemy as well as confuse them. Use your eggs to avoid people you don't want to fight, such as heavies, chemists, or pro players. You can also use your eggs to give yourself an advantage when fighting someone. Another tip to using your eggs (flash bombs) is to use them wisely don't just spam all of them all at once that will lead you nowhere and will put you at a disadvantage in future fights. When using your redstone use it wisely depending on the situation. You can use it to get past defences, avoiding people, scaring people ( :stuck_out_tongue: ), or for combat and sneak attacks.

Tips for offence: When playing offence you can cap the flag or kill people in support of your team. When capping the flag getting out of the flag room is the hardest being the class with the lowest amount of armor. Once you get out of the flag room its easy part, use your ender pearls to separate between you and enemy recoverers such as ninja and assassin. Watch your health bar as well you don't want to drop the flag because of ender pearl damage or flag poison. Once the flag is stolen, find a medic either roaming, or defending at your flag room. If the game is at a standstill (stalled due to both teams have each others flags) switch to another class such as soldier or give the flag to another player and recover, or keep the flag (this is dangerous and not really recommended, because you are vulnerable to almost any class unless if you have defenders defending you. When you are supporting your team on offence kill the players that would stall or prevent your team from capping the flag such as archers, assassins, mages, engineers, pyros, and other ninjas. You can also create a distraction by sacrificing yourself or kill enemy players who are recovering their flag. In order to do this use your sword or flash bombs to slow and distract/kill the enemy from their target. Be sure to do this between the person that has the enemy's flag and the enemy recoverers so you don't accidentally knock them into your flag holder thus killing and recovering off of him/her.

Tips for defence: Playing ninja on defence alone may not be the best class to defend with. However with tea mates helping you defend, you will be a big help to your team. A defending ninja's role is to scout out and kill flag stealers. You can go invisible and hit them with your sword once they have turned their back or haven't noticed you. You can also use your sword to whittle down the flag stealer's health before they get to the flag so it will be a lot easier to recover or easier to kill that player later on. Use your flash bombs to disorient soldiers, heavies, medics, and other offensive classes when they are attempting to steal the flag to make it harder for them. Be sure to kill the classes you think can bypass or weaken your defences such as assassins, archers (if they can headshot the flag room), and other ninjas.

    Tips for recovery:
Ninja is arguably one of the best classes to recover with, its fast and can throw off the enemy flag holder with its flash bombs and high damage output. When recovering be sure to by pass the defence with your ender pearls or invisibility dust. You can either attack them from behind, or up front. When attacking them from behind throw a flash bomb directly at them and hit them with your sword. If the enemy flag holder turns around throw another flash bomb at them and go invisible. Once invisible strafe or position yourself in front of or beside the flag holder and throw another flash bomb and hit them with your sword until they die. When attacking them in front of them turn invisible and position your self in front of the enemy flag holder and throw a flash bomb directly at them. Keep hitting them with your sword and use extra flash bombs if needed until they die. Also be sure to take out enemy medics that are coming to heal their flag holder so that it will be harder for the flag holder to survive from other recoverers such as assassin, archers, and other ninjas. If you are recovering and the enemy flag holder is at his/her base surrounded by people protecting them go invisible and go inside the flag holder (while invisible) and jump crit them with your sword. (This kind of works some of the time, but I do not have a solution to this for those who do post it below <3) You can also work with another class such as a ninja, archer, or assassin to help you recover the flag. Use your self to distract the flag holder to create an opening for the player who will kill the flag holder such as an assassin. Either that or you can recover the flag for an archer who has headshotted the enemy flag holder if he/she is too far away to recover it him/herself.

    Advanced gameplay or combos:

These are combos that I like to use when fighting players stronger than me. (This is all I can think of so far :stuck_out_tongue: I'll add some new ones once I find some)

The new 414: Before you could hit an enemy player once or twice and go invisible at any time this was "unfair" to other players as they do not have a chance to kill the ninja. Now once you hit someone your invisibility powder becomes goldstone dust (renamed silly powder) this will not allow you to become invisible for a second or so (???) after you hit someone. Here is a new way to 414 but this also needs your flash bombs in this combo. First you hit anyone one or two times then throw a flash bomb directly at them. This will make them blind so you can have the opportunity to have your "silly powder" revert to invisibility powder and make you invisible. Repeat these steps until you have killed the person you are killing.

    Illusionist:
This allows for hit and run tactics or just to throw off your enemy when killing them. In order to do this hit the enemy once or twice or more if desired. Then throw an ender pearl and make it land behind your opponent, and sneak attack them from behind. This should be used for fighting weaker classes such as archer, medic, and mage. This strategy is recommended to be used in open spaces where you have enough space to throw your ender pearls and not get glitched in a wall or ceiling. Be sure to watch your health however due to the health reduction you receive once you throw an ender pearl.

    Conclusions:

Hopefully you guys learned something from this guide. Thank you for taking your time reading this guide. Congrats on those who read the entire post you guys get a cookie :3. For those who have additional tips that I haven't explained in this thread or fill in some gaps that I was wrong on please post them below. And remember, This is CTF not team death match. (except for archer) Always help out your team in anyway possible, whether its recovering, capping, or defending all of those will help out your team and lead them to victory.

What about them kill farming ninjas?
I'm pretty sure 80% of ninjas just go for kills.

The regen is 1 heart per second. Half a heart every half a second. I don't think the faster regen is still in the code.

I rated Great Guide before I read the thing. Now I'm gonna go read it. xD

    Edit: Read it. Yay, cookie!
    I cri every taim

So for another ninja tip: sprinting on the ground is much faster than sprint-jumping, only with Ninja's speed. Jump-sprinting is effective for regular-speed people, but Speed II is faster than the regular jump-sprint. Also, not sure how necessary this is since it's kind of a regular part of PvP, but be sure to keep sprinting while dealing massive blows to your target; really adds to the damage and gets you some nice combo hits.

When running, I'm sure you will lose 6 redstone a second, not 4.
