I like the oceans, it changes the strategy immensely and gives certain kits a time to shine.
Kits like poseidon and phantom are suddenly killer kits where as otherwise they are weaker. The battle for the feasts and the hardship of finding food is also great.

Maybe small lakes but Oceans make the game unfun for those that are used to the fast paced souping war

    Although feasts are usually interesting

I'm not saying all maps should have oceans, however the occasional only island/ocean map causes variation and change in tactics as I said. Maybe they could be limited slightly however I actually enjoy these ocean wars.

I wouldn't say it makes for more diverse gameplay as everyone pretty much uses Poseidon and Phantom, and if they did do that it should be limited to No-Soup servers

    Do you use poseidon usually?
I've seen people come up with creative tactics to deal with the endless expanse of water.

I mean when there is an ocean map the primary strategies are poseidon and phantom and not much else. I wouldn't even call them strategies tbh

That really only counts for the ocean only maps. I've been in a few today where half the map is ocean and the rest is land. Some flocked to the sea and islands, others took to the mainland. It's these maps which I like more than the regular ones.
