    !WARNING!
This is a very long guide. Lots of reading ahead.

When you log on, you may want to head straight for the best zones. But you should take the time to learn the game-play and how the mechanics work.

When you first log on: You will probably spawn in either Eastern Desert (Zone 3) or Western Desert (Zone 4) as they are the most common spawns. As such, they are normally a few people here. Some may be players searching for loot or better equipped players looking for some easy kills. Other spawns are explained in detail below.

If you spawn in the desert you should get some gear including some iron armor and guns (with ammo). Ammo is found more in lower zones, so Zones 2 & 3 are great places to get ammo.

    Other Spawns

    Airport (Zone 3)
Another common spawn. Great place to loot. There are also a few players here when the server has 20+ people on. You can find tier 1 and tier 2 guns here along with iron armor and plenty of ammo and supplies.

    Central City (Zone 4)
A great spawn. Contains guns up to tier 3. Not very many players here most of the time. However, zombies are becoming more prevalent so keep a cautious eye!

    Cabins (Zone 2)
Contains tier 1 guns only, but a great place to get ammo. Players are rarely around here most of the time. However there is a zone 3 (suburbs) not very far west of here.

    Suburbs (Zone 3)
Many players come here after looting up at Golem (see below) to kill new spawns. Be cautious. However, with Golem to the west (and in view) many players choose to loot there.

    Golem (Zone 4)
A common spawn. There are quite a few players here so beware. At the entrance to the city there are 2 buildings filled with chests. This is also near the only zone 6 (Army Camp) in the southern part of the map.

    Manor (Zone 5)
One of the best spawns. Contains diamond swords, many supplies, and tier 4 guns (except barrett).
This is an uncommon spawn, but you never know if someone is in there.

    Guns
The primary weapons of WarZ. For a more technical and in-depth look at the guns you can look on the wiki. Here I will list the guns and my personal opinion on each.

    Tier 1
Famas (Assault Rifle) Does slightly more damage then the tier 2 assult rifle, but has half the fire rate. Ok for lower zone fights but useless in higher zones

Dragunov (Sniper) A very good sniper. Deals a good amount of damage and it's semi-automatic. However, it has a very small clip size. A great gun but when you find a better sniper ditch the dragunov.

M590 (Shotgun) Low clip size, medium damage and high recoil make this gun not worth using. It is ok for lower zone fights but ditch it when u find any gun that is better.

MP5 (Sub-Machine Gun) Horrible. 5 damage per bullet. The sub-machine guns are usually on par with the assault rifle of the same tier but in this case the famas is the better gun in the automatic department.

Five-Seven (Pistol) An okay pistol. Pistols are rarely used in many fights due to their relatively low damage but this gun can help in lower zone fights.

    Tier 2
M16A4 (Assault Rifle) Deals lower damage then the Famas but it has a higher fire rate and better range. It also has a burst fire mode. Good gun. I like using it when i have nothing better.

M40A3 (Sniper) Very similar to the Dragunov but does twice the damage. A great sniper to use even in Zone 6.

AA-12 (Shotgun) A fully automatic shotgun. A good gun but takes many shells to kill a player. It does have a decently sized clip though.

Uzi (Sub-Machine Gun) Same damage as the MP5 but has a higher fire rate. Other then that, there are no differences.

M1911 (Pistol) Deals slightly more damage then the Five-Seven and has a larger clip size. A very good pistol. It's saved my butt many times in lower zones after I die.

    Tier 3
M4A1 (Assault Rifle) A better M16A4. Slightly better stats all around. Great gun.

MSR (Sniper) Great sniper. Does less damage then the M40A3 but has 2x the fire rate.

M1014 (Shotgun) Usually used in the end of combos, but is a great gun even by itself.

UMP45 (Sub-Machine Gun) This is the first sub-machine gun actually worth using. Much better then the lower tier sub-machine guns. Using this or the M4A1 comes down to personal preference as both guns are very similar except for fire rate and damage (per bullet).

.44 Magnum (Pistol) I've never used this pistol except in desperate situations. It's ok at best. It does slightly more damage then the tier 2 pistol but it has a small clip size. Whether you use it or not is up to you.

    Tier 4
AK-47 (Assault Rifle) Excellent gun. Better stats then the tier 3 assault rifle. Worth using.

Barrett .50cal (Sniper) Best gun in the game. One hit kill to leathers and irons. However, it can only be found in zone 6 and is INCREDIBLY rare. If you find one use it.

SPAS-12 (Shotgun) Often used in combos with the barrett in case someone tanks a barrett shot. Great by itself but best used in combos.

P90 (Sub-Machine Gun) Great gun. It's as good as the AK-47. Which one you use comes down to which one you like better.

Desert Eagle (Pistol) Best pistol. With it's high damage and fast fire rate it can three hit a full iron. However, many people prefer to use other guns. However this pistol is extremely good.

I won't be covering the special guns as they can only be obtained through events.

    Zones

Zone 1: Anywhere that isn't a town or other zone. No loot here.

Zone 2: Great place to stock up on ammo. Tier 1 guns can be found here along with plenty of food and pepsi.
(All zone 2's: Cabins, Garage, Jungle)

Zone 3: Also a great place to stock up on ammo. Tier 1 and 2 guns can be found here along with iron swords and iron armour. (all zone 3's: Airport, Small Army Camp, Western Desert, North Barracks, Cargo, Dig Site)

Zone 4: Contains guns up to tier 3. Has iron swords and iron armor. Many players loot in these zones so be careful! (all zone 4's: Central City, Golem, Barn, Castle, Ruins, Snow, Shipping, Dock)

Zone 5: Contains diamond swords and tier 4 guns (except barrett). Not many players are in these zones and instead go to zone 6. (all zone 5's: Power Plant, Manor, Crashed Plane, Jungle, Battleship, Helipad)

Zone 6: The zone with the best loot. Tier 4 guns, diamond armor (Diamond armor is VERY rare), diamond swords, and other supplies. Many players lurk here so be very careful.
(All zone 6's: Small Snow Village, South Barracks, Industrial, Nether)

    Gear and Equipment:

Sword: Your melee weapon. Hold these in your hands when opening chests as opening them with a gun will also fire the gun, wasting ammo. Great for close range fights.

    Guns: (see above)

    Food & Drinks:
Canned Beans (restores 2.5 hunger and 2.5 hearts) Use when roaming around.
Canned Pasta (restores 3.5 hunger and 3.5 hearts) Use when fighting.
Canned Fish (same as canned pasta)
Can of Pepsi (Restores 1/8 of your thirst (exp bar), half a heart, and .5 hunger)
Water Bottle (Restores 2/3 of thirst bar) Can be refilled.
Mountain Dew (Restores all thirst, hunger, and health) Very rare.
Gold Apple (restores all hunger and gives 5 seconds of Instant Health II and makes you impervious to everything but instant kills)

    Tools
Hatchet: Used for getting wood logs which can then be lighted with flint and steel to cook meat.
Flint and Steel: Used to light wood on fire and to cook meat.
Scuba Helmet: Allows you to stay in the water without drowning.
Shears: Used to cut barbed wire.
Barbed Wire: Slows down players and damages them. Can only be removed with wire cutters (shears)

    Tactical Items
Smoke Grenade: useless. It can disorient enemies for a few seconds but the smoke can easily be seen past.
Flashbang: Makes all players near it blind for a few seconds. Great for killing players.
Sugar: Gives you a short speed boost in case u need to get away from something.
Molotov: Lights players on fire. Very useful.
Parachute (BUGGED) lets you not take fall damage
Compass: Allows you to see friends, enemies, or nearby towns. Right click to change its mode.

    Medical Supplies
All of these medical items give you humanity if used on another player

Bone: Fixes broken bones after falling.
    Bandage: Stops bleeding.
Blood Bag: Heals other players. Great for raising humanity and supporting a teamate.
Infection Cure: Stops infection that you can get from zombies.

    ELO
Elo is a system used to measure the skill of a player. Look on the WarZ wiki for more info.

    Donator Perks

VIP: Can tp (with 4 minute cooldown) and spawns with a Five-Seven pistol with 8 bullets and leather helmet and chestplate.

MVP: Can tp (with 2 minute cooldown) and spawns with a M1911 pistol with 16 bullets and full leather armor. They can also use ender chests to store items.

Whew this took forever to make. I hope this guide can help newcomers and give some tips to veterans.
    Have fun on WarZ!

    Thanks guys.

Since I forgot to add Grenades in the Tactical Items section and can't find a way to add them to the original thread, I'll add them here.

Grenade: Deal damage to players in the explosion range. However, they take a few seconds before exploding so players can easily escape the explosion range.

If you're talking about the dig site north of indust it's a zone 3.
