    Another one of my open discussions. This time I want to hear new ideas on what a new classes's powers/abilities (like solder's wall climb, medic's healing, archer's headshots ect ect...) could be and why you would think that it could work well in CTF. I would prefer it if you didn't add ideas to powers/abilities for replacements to current classes since that's more on the lines of a rework.

    Soldier working on the exp system is good because it would limit the op wall climb spam

    I think he's talking about new, original gameplay mechanics that could work well in a CTF setting, not reworks to mechanics already existing in classes. I kind of wrote a pretty long post about reworking archer's headshot before realising that myself, so I'd probably suggest a rewording of the OP.

    I'd be pretty interested in a class based around debuffs and confusion - one that doesn't deal high damage or have high armour, but can deal some pretty mean AOE debuffs (nausea, slowness, possibly some sort of lifesteal ability).

    Damn, probably gonna make a class concept about this now. gr8 thread r8 8/8 inspir8tion

    I would like to see:
    • Horse-riding class. No bow.
    • A class with no nametag that has medium-heavy armor and a strong melee plus a ranged attack.
    • Trap based class. Placing string and pressure plates as triggerable traps. Heavy-medium armor, Iron axe.
    • There are so many different ways to make projectile weapons there should be more than just Mage with multiple ranged attacks. Add a ranged weapon that takes a very curved trajectory. Or a ranged weapon with a shotgun-like blast.
    • Acrobat class with speed 2 and jump boost 2, maybe dash?

    I'd like to see some classes that work better with recovery. Perhaps more mobility, some abilities that allow them to catch up to a flag carrier, ways to get past a flag carrier's defence, etc.

    We need a free recovery class. Archer just doesn't cut it some times, and soldier can only work so well.

    I had this class concept thing a while back in McPvP. Since there is a ninja, why isn't there a pirate?

    Some original abilities it had:

    A scouting parrot: This allowed you to fly around as you please in the form of your parrot (bat) without hurting anyone, although enemies can kill you with 1 hit of anything.

    Cannon: It was a regular bow (forgot how many arrows came with it). Whenever you shoot a fully drawn bow, a fire charge comes out. After reaching a certain distance, the firecharge will explode and give damage like TNT. If it makes any contact with a block or entity, it immediately explodes.

    Free recovery. Something using the new arrows. Premium medic kind of class.

    my opinion:
    bowclasses: archer, elf
    recovery classes: ninja, assassin
    pvp classes: soldier, heavy
    support classes: medic, chemist
    defence classes: dwarf ...
    offence classes: mage, pyro

    in my opinion we dont need new classes :smile:

    Light, rapid damage with enough knockback to stun lock, but still be somewhat easily escapable
