Chap removing insta-kills?!

    Recently, I heard that Chap was going to remove insta-kills from CTF for good. The only thing I have to say to this is WTF. These insta-kill classes(with insta-kill abilities) brought so much more thinking into the game. There are ways to avoid these but they're not easy. I don't see why Chap would remove this from he game anyways. To be totally honest, he's not good at CTF at all. Which would bring up an old topic I discussed in an older thread.     This talked about people making changes to benefit themselves. The question is, is Chap removing insta-kills to benefit himself or is he doing it for new people. Another thing is what's going to happen with the classes that were only able to do insta-kill relating things. Are we gonna see true damage on pyro and assassin? Is distance gonna determine how much damage an archer can do? Another thing you would have to think about is @NomNuggetNom. He has been working so hard on coding everything in CTF that move insta-kills will just make it harder for him, especially every impatient CTFer that wants to play the game. This is all I have to say at the moment. Please share your thoughts about this in the comments below.

    Well before this becomes Instakills rant No. 2, I'd like to hear an actual statement from Chap or any other staff member confirming this.

    The community decided on this thread that insta kills should be kept (with a clear majority). We will follow the community's decision, please do not believe any rumor you hear.

    You say you do, yet your record shows quite contrary. Wool won over banners by a large margin any yet you still removed wool.

    The banners are more of a cosmetic feature and we actually did change them because of the community. They are now on a fence post to enable multiple tactics that only work with that fence.

    There was no official poll about that topic and we did change them because of the community's opinion, as stated above.

    If insta kills were to be removed it would change ctf gameplay completly for the worse imo defending wud become extremely harder and recovering furthermore there are ways to stop getting instakills and ways to avoid getting instakilled without being the direct counter (medic , blocking) so I think removing instakilled wud be the worst change in ctf that could ever happen

    I talked to Chap and he is sure he never said anything about removing insta-kills and is also not planning to do so.
