    Change the placed banners on flag posts to dropped items.

    Why?: Changing the banners to a dropped item rather than a placed banner would solve a few issues.

    #1: The inability to block while facing the top half of a banner. This may not seem like a big deal at first, but one of the strongest defensive classes (assassin) only has one reliable counter, and that is blocking. If you cannot block while trying to grab the flag, I believe it makes the class a bit too strong.

    #2: The inability to move around the flag while grabbing. With the current placed banners, it is very easy to prevent a player from grabbing the flag for an extended period of time even though they are right next to it. The reason for this is that you have an extremely small area to grab the flag in. This makes it so that you cannot circle around the flag, nor move much at all while grabbing. In my opinion this makes defense a lot easier due to the fact that it's a lot easier to land hits on a player that cannot move while grabbing.

    TL;DR:     Change the placed banners to dropped banner items on top of the flag post to solve issues involving grabbing the flag as well as the inability to block while facing the flag.

    I think that is just visual at this point, I'm referring to just on top of the flag post itself.

    It would pretty much make it wood with a little bit of a differnt look.. I dont think Brawl wants that. Can it just be given the properties of a dropped item so that it still looks all fancy?

    They could always have 2 flag posts ontop of each other then half a banner on the highest flag post. You can get half a door, so I'm guessing you can also get half a banner.

    My problem with the banner atm is that when a team drops the flag, its an instant pickup for that team while it seems to be against a recoverer. I don't usually have a problem with the blocking thing, but I don't like how you can instantly pick up the flag off the ground.

    It's not possible. Doors are blocks, banners are entities (weirdly)

    I'm not a technical expert, but I think they're actually just a block with an unusual design. The hitbox is about that of a flower pot.

    If you drop a f̶l̶a̶g banner on a slab or a stair it goes somewhere far beyond where you dropped it. Haven't tested it lately though.
