    This actually wouldn't be too hard. In bukkit essentials there is a command where the person corcerned does not pick up items, but this means they would not be able to pick anything up. The concept is feasable, but the execution is not.

    Yes, but even in that short period nothing can be picked up, which can have bad consequences if someone else is accidently affected.

    Maybe they can code it so the item(s) have immunity to everyone except the person who got the kill.

    Perhaps, but is it worth the complexities? Also, this prevents people from scavenging.

    It's a fine idea but isn't warz'ish. This is based on a zombie survival. If you team with people, you don't get a chance to take the gear before they do. If you really think it's a problem team with different people.
