Idea Another Dwarf Rework Possibility

    Dwarf is definitely a problem to many people, and many people have suggested reworks for it. However, there are three crucial main points that I believe Dwarf should have, and I haven't seen any suggestions which keep them.
    These points are:
    -Defense. Dwarf was made with defense in mind, and so I believe it should stay defense orientated not only to keep with the current theme of it, but to allow for a wider variety of classes and playstyles (as opposed to reworking Dwarf into yet another offensive orientated class).
    -Crouching. It makes sense for a class that is seen crouching 99% of the time to be called Dwarf. If the class doesn't gain anything for crouching, how will it resemble a Dwarf?
    -Simplicity. The class should be simple, to fit with the simple theme of every other class (Except maybe Elf). People should understand how the class works fairly quickly.

    So without further delay, here's my suggestion!

    Armor:
    -Diamond Helmet
    -Iron Chestplate
    -Iron Leggings
    -Diamond Boots

    Loadout:
    -Wood Sword; Unbreaking X, Sharpness II (6.5 damage; 0.5 more than iron).
    -3 Steak

    Passives:
    -When you are within a 6 block radius of the flag/flag carrier, you gain: Speed I and Resistance I. When you are outside this radius, you gain Weakness I.
    -When you attack the flag carrier, you deal one extra damage, untrue.
    -After shifting for 1 second, your sword turns into a Stone Sword with Unbreaking X and Sharpness II (0.5 more than diamond). Upon releasing shift, your sword returns back to normal.
    -While shifting, all melee attacks give Slowness I for 2 seconds.

    Summary:
    Strength: ✮✮☆ - ✮✮✮✮
    You're weak if you leave the 6 block radius, due to the Weakness I.
    Your power is neutral while standing within the radius of the flag.
    You're stronger while shifting.
    You're strongest against the flag carrier, due to your +1 damage to him/her.
    Defence: ✮✮☆ - ✮✮✮✮
    With an armor buff, you are now more tanky even without the buff from being near the flag.
    Inside the radius of the flag, you have an outstanding defense, because of the Resistance I.

    Mobility: ✮✮
    You no longer have permanent Slowness II, and you have the ability to sprint. However, you must remain crouched if you want to deal the most damage.

    Changelog:
    -Buffed armor from 7 and a half bars to 8 and a half.
    -Added Changelog
    -Replaced Diamond Sword with an unbreakable Sharpness II Wooden Sword.
    -Removed Bash ability.
    (When you shift, you gain 1 level of experience per second, maxing at level 20. If you are level 10 or above, your next hit will deal 2 extra damage, untrue, and give slowness III for 3 seconds. You will then lose 10 levels of experience.
    Upon releasing shift, you will lose 1 level every second.)

    -Replaced with simpler idea.

    Class Overview:
    I agree that a dwarf should have those 2 out of 3 points you posted (with the exception of crouching). Even though new players won't know the "bashes" and weakness I effect. I also want to add an idea, maybe when your flag is taken, you receive Resistance, and you can have both effects if you are 6 blocks away from the flag carrier. And if the flag is back, you gain Weakness and whatnot.

    Weapon and Armor:
    Buff the armor a bit, and I don't like how you lose the experience so quickly. Maybe, if you take any damage, you lose your experience. S0 2 hearts of damage, you will lose 2 or 4 experience. You still gain experience normally.

    Passive Abilities:
    Already talked about it

    Active Abilities:
    None

    1.9 is coming #soon I guess it's just inevitable actually.

    As for the rework, I don't like it at all, it just promotes dwarf camping even more, and the losing of experience is just .....

    I think this would turn Dwarf into more of a recovery class instead of defense.
    How does a diamond helmet and diamond boots sound? That's 8 and a half armor bars, an increase from 7 and a half.

    As for experience, I wanted to make Dwarf still rely on shifting, and with the current ability, you have to stay shifted if you want to land two consecutive bashes.

    Defense is camping. As I had mentioned before, I wanted to preserve the defense element of Dwarf, making sure that Dwarf stays maining a defensive class, instead of reworking it into yet another offensive/aggressive class. I don't understand how defending your flag can be anything but camping.

    Originally, I had thought that you would be able to keep up with anyone who tries to steal the flag with the speed I. However, I just realized that if you die to a headshot or Assassin, you would be extremely weakened and far from the flag. How about a buff to the armor, giving it a little more survive-ability while trying to recover the flag if you happen to be out of the radius?
