    Reasons:

    -50 to 60 person games cause a TON of lag sometimes or make laggy maps (Whiteout) even more laggy because of all the people and additional particles. (and yes it is laggy even with turning most settings to 'low' or 'off', which is what I have mine set to)

    -Most maps just don't work with that many players. Some of them - like this one (ship battle map by @Luiga_):

    2015-09-20_19.41.35.png

    are just too darn small to support half decent game play with that many people.

    -Games with that many people are completely insane on Freeday.

    -This causes most servers to actually not be used because the bulk of the players join one server, while all the others are empty or mostly empty.

    Proposal:

    -Change the max server size to 40.
    -Get rid of the loophole that allows more people to join a server after it's already listed as 'full'. (this needs to be fixed as it makes server limits pointless and allows for ridiculously overcrowded games)

    I compleaty agree, smaller game sizes on smaller maps is much more enjoyable then big game sizes on big maps.

    I agree too, especially on the smaller maps... but even on the bigger maps, it is less crowded, but it still causes major lag with a lot of people on...

    Eh, I really don't think this is much of a problem anymore because 1) Whiteout and maps that had FPS lag before are fixed now and 2) The max of 50 people is good, and any lower might just be too low.

    How is 40 people too low? And how is map overcrowding or the fact that no other servers get used half the time because one server is jammed with 50+ people (causing a crazy game - because no one wants to play on the empty servers) not much of a problem?

    While I have no real problem with lag on any map and I like the insanity perk of Fridays, I do agree with you on the rest. The maps are really not meant for that amount of people (especially Forest of Rivals.) they just cause overcrowding in flag rooms relying on just pure mobs instead of class specialization to defend, making capping nearly impossible without resorting to taboo tactics (which is why I try avoiding the 40 player games). And we have gone back to an old problem where everyone just plays on one server much like in Mcpvp (As to why is unknown to me.) 40 or even 30 player limits (also consider removing perk that bypasses the server limit.) would be alot more ideal for both the map size, and proper server saturation. Would take some coding, but if we could make it where each map would have it's set player limit depending on size, that could help get the best deal for both sides on this debate.

    Yeah, I can agree with this, sure more the players, more the tactic. But it seriously gets out of hand when there's lots of lag and a bunch of people and you have no idea what to do. I would say a maximum of 45 players, which isn't bad, and one more CTF server. There's going to be RAM left over which can be totally used on other servers (cough KitPvP cough).

    I think people do this because all the other servers are empty and naturally they're drawn to the one that actually has people on it. At least, that's what I do because if I join almost any other server aside from the crowded one then I sometimes have to wait ages for the game to start.

    Also, I've agree that overcrowding is REALLY BAD on Forest of Rivals^^ although the map itself is okay it becomes unbearable to play on when the player count gets up around 50+

    I think a baseline limit of the number of people that can join a server is more practical than making one for each map since most maps do not deviate a great deal from each other in size due to restrictions.

    @obikenobi21 lol true.
