So when I play assassin, I like to keep a few things in mind that help me recover a lot more.

    1. Do NOT be afraid to die
This is probably most important. If you get killed, it not that big of a deal. Assassin can get really good speed to catch up. Don't be afraid to jump off buildings, or run into a crowd. Deaths are part of the game. Once you can get over dying, you realize assassin is a lot more helpful.

    2. Kill people before they get to your flag
Don't wait for someone to steal before you assassinate them. No one likes people like that. If you do it so you won't waste you powder, you can always respawn or get a medic. Its not that big of a deal, and more important to stop the capper BEFORE they steal, so there is less of a chance they get out.

    3. Bring a friend
These days, most people know what to do against assassins. I always like to bring a ninja or medic, to get that carrier distracted. Trust me it helps.

    4. Kill dwarves
Trust me on this one. Assassin is not only good at recovery. You can also support fairly well. Instakilling people trying to recover is a big help. Also, dwarves can be annoying to friends trying to steal. Chip in there and help out. No dwarf in the history of dwarves know how to block. Its a quick kill, and your pal there can steal.

    5. Speed when you creed (Get it like assassins creed xD)
If you see your target, the absolute WORST thing you can do is go in on normal speed. With speed 3, you can travel the same distance in 1/3 the time. If your target is 15 blocks away, you can get to him in 5 blocks normal speed. Thats helpful, and normally they wont have time to react in 5 blocks.

    6. Dont be afraid to attack when they are blocked
One mistake i see assassins do when they try to kill a capper is shrug away when they see them block. That's a terrible mistake. You are given a free opportunity to attack a capper when hes blocking. Their not even hitting back. If they decide to, take a step back and assassinate them.

    7. Don't respawn to get your powder back
If you are halfway across a map chasing a capper, and you lose your powder, don't respawn. They might cap before you do. Instead, run towards where that capper is trying to go, and wait for your powder. They will expect an attack from behind more than infront

    8. Vampire ability
Probably your most useful ability. I can remember countless times when I was fighting, and my health got low. You can kill an enemy to get hearts back. You can get to the point of invincibility if you are good enough.

    9. No fall damage
If you could die of fall damage when you activate powder, assassin might just be useless. So CTF turned off fall damage while your powder is in use. This is super uselful for when youre about an enemy, and you can just plop down, and not take any fall damage.

Well guys this is my guide. Some of it might not help, it is just the tips I use and I sell taught myself assassin. Other assassin mains probably do other stuff, but this is what I use. Thanks and later.

I prefer to kill them after they get the flag. Most cappers run in and block while they are stealing, so I wait till they start to run to kill them. It makes it easier. Plus they get a steal and we get a recov for our stats XD actually (for me) trying to stay alive improves my gameplay and makes me better, but most times I just suicide into the enemy defense and free it up. A lot of people dont care about strategy and just rush for the recov by themselves. So I just wait until I see someone trying to recov to insta kill them. Another tip for people blocking is equip your redstone, then hard switch to your sword and attack. They might think you used it and un block. But no one believes that when I do it anymore. They figured me out ;-; Also, taking strats from TF2, I've gotten quite a lot of stair stabs and corner stabs. If the enemy defense doesnt have a pyro, you can actually run in and get the flag. They will think you're gonna assassinate them so they'll block and you can just steal the flag. If your assassinate gets blocked by a capper, I run in front of them and make it to their flag before they do, and depending on if more people are chasing them, or I get my redstone back before they cap, you can pretty easily stall them or recov off them. I'm sure there are things I do automatically that I can't think of right now. So that's all my info. I'd like to think it's helpful since I taught myself assassin as well. It's been my main for 2 or 3 years now.
