Idea Elf Wind element nerf idea

Unless you shoot an arrow at someone on the edge of a ledge, really close to you, or something of the sort, that ability proves quite useless. The arrow would probably go through the player and hit the ground quite quickly, maybe a block or two behind, because of gravity. It wouldn't do all that much in comparison to shooting someone very close to you, in which case a fully drawn arrow would push them back further.

 

In its current state, actually shooting the wind element is completely and utterly useless aside from having fun with your friends who are on the opposite team. There's an elf rework so where in this forum but I'm too lazy to link it right now (on my phone so it's difficult). It has a super good concept rework to the shooting of the wind arrows.

 

Actually Wind element is quite useful on maps like platforms, beaver creek, and valley of ruin due to its ability to shove the most annoying class off its pesky edge, resulting in a loss of its precious killstreak. It can also end up throwing FC's off the map, resulting in much rage.

 

The wind element... Pretty sure that's the only reason elves actually cap at all (or not, i don't play elf.)

 

I'd say the wind element is the only useful ability Elf has to offer. No need for a nerf.

 

No, no, you're 100% right. One major struggle with elf is simply getting out of the flag room, then it's not getting rekt by ninjas while holding the flag (nearly impossible with good recovery ninjas), and then it's looking for a dedicated medic because elf can't stay alive very long with the flag.

Well, Pure shot isn't bad (at mid-range; it sucks at long and often at CQC range), and water and the shield are pretty good... but I do agree, the last thing elf needs is a nerf. But that's not to say it's OP. I'd personally appreciate some tweaks, like faster-regenerating arrows (really, 1 arrow per 4 seconds? that's a joke.), and at least slightly increased armor protection because the ratio of damage taken to damage dealt is horribly inefficient, forcing an elf to not only burn through steaks but to not even win a fight with all those steaks because he can't get a shot off without having to steak!!11!
