Thor isn't the best team kit though. I have a friend that uses Thor and always ends up setting me on fire...

Might have to give that a miss then, I do like to team with people. I remember when Thor first came out and everyone was setting everything on fire. Great times!

Hello Mr Brit I met in TS like last week!
Depends on whether you do nosoup or soup. I mainly play nosoup, so here are my recommendations:
Viper: You're an oldie, you know why.
    Snail: ^
Blink: One of my favorite kits. Great for teleporting behind someone mid-fight to get an extra hit off.
Achilles: Takes less damage from non-wood weapons. Great for mid/end game in nosoup when everyone has iron or diamond swords.
Grappler: I'm fairly sure you know why.
Magma: Has the chance of setting someone on fire. Always helpful ^-^
Ninja: Teleports behind people, which is great mid-fight.
Orrrr, you can be like me and almost always use Surprise so you don't have to spend time choosing. xD

I know, its great to be able to use it again!

    Hi to you too!

I have gotten surprise Achilles before, but people just use a wood sword against me when they see that I am an Achilles, so it hasn't been great for me.
Snail, Viper and Magma are all kits that I have tried and liked very much (especially Magma because.... fire...).
I have little experience with Blink, I feel i'd be more disoriented than my opponent in certain situations, but I'd be willing to give it a go. This is the same with Ninja.
Grappler is a very fun kit in my opinion and also very useful, its definitely up there at least. However, in terms of raw combat I'd take one of the effect kits such as viper or magma, particularly in no-soup servers. For soup severs, do you know anything about the wither kit? It seems quite good, especially as your opponent wont know when to soup. Also, if I hit a teammate, will they get the effect? In terms of Timelord, you can hit your teammate (despite being on a team with them) for no damage and it will free them, so is this the same for wither - that I don't have to actually do damage in order to give them the effect?

Also, thanks for all of the reply's, guys!

    Fireman

    Its a really balanced kit
You don't take Lava/Fire damage which is really helpful in many situations and you get a water bucket so you can MLG with

This is definatly my favourite kit

I would say grappler, ninja and viper are the best but that's my point of view.

Surely Magma is better than fireman?

    In what ways?

I have Madman already and it is a very good kit

However hopefully they will change it so that it doesn't effect 1v1s otherwise it is a bit overpowered

Surely you can get one with 3 Iron? Without the bucket, fireman is essentially a nerfed version of Magma, isn't it?

Viking has been removed from no-soup understandably for being to Over Powered
So, in other words, a good kit

Mining that 3 iron takes time and in that time you could of already won the game

Hmm... Possibly. However I think that magma is better due to its ability to set opponents on fire (and stop them from running away) as well as no damage from fire or lava adds to its overall rating.

We have one thing that gives a bucket to set players on fire with lava. And one thing that has a % to set people on fire with a hit... Huh! So amazing how brawls kits are so diverse yes?!
I wish we had an evasive (not blink like) kit playstyle though!
