I know that chemist kinda needed a rework and so did soldier, but why has all this happened without doing anything to dwarf? Dwarf has to be the most overpowered class in the game as it can 1 shot almost any class with just the swing of a sword. The nerfs to classes such as chemist and soldier mean that if there is a dwarf or two on def, it's impossible to steal. Chemists also have to throw a heal pot every time the ninja hits them, which is ridiculous as when the ninja gets a combo, you're dead.

Well, pyro soldier and chemist are way more popular classes than dwarf, which to me is a great reason to balance them first. These three classes are also a great place to start as you have to balance the three around each other for enjoyable gameplay. As far as chemist goes, the only real difference I've noticed aside from not being able to potspam is that I have to actually watch my hearts now.

All dwarf needed was a cap that stopped it from getting to one shot stage.

    But yes, I agree.

Pyro was one of the classes with the highest pool of complaints, though not necessarily the most complained about, I suppose. Still, these changes were a long time coming. Soldier and chemist seemed to have rather simple fixes, and generally pyro would need to be changed with chemist and soldier. They were pretty high priority.

However, I understand your point. Dwarf really does need a rework. It will receive one of course, so no worries! Dwarf and necro are most likely next in line for change, and there are enough suggestions on the forums for these classes to make the changes successful. Dwarf does not necessarily need to be changed along with other classes as it relies on itself. It would not directly impact certain classes if it was nerfed (like pyro would - nerfing pyro without nerfing soldier and chemist could increase the power of soldier and chemist), so can really be reworked at any time without having to worry about other classes. c:

i really appreciate all the information on upcoming updates, and reasoning behind current updates. can we get more of these types of replies from mods, or perhaps like a "what's with ctf today" post you make every so often showing what you guys are currently working on, what is planned, and responses to common community questions (logical ones, not like "when is map wave 928 coming") It just seems like there is more of these types of posts closer to updates. I know the devs have brawldev twitter, but something like that for ctf mods would lead to I believe better communication with players to staff, which would bring more accepted changes and perhaps even better feedback on things
