Idea Idea For 1.9 and app idea

why would you need an app to buy classes in the first place??

 

The bird class?

Yes, I agree and let's make the fish class too while we're at it, whatever those are.

 

and fish get countered by fishtraps

 

Well a bird is a nice idea of a class but how do you counter it when its flying in the air?

 

All you have to do is make a Hunter class!!!111!!

 

But then you need the Wildlife Management Patrol class to counter the Hunter class.

 

Guys. Don't harrass. It was a good idea. Please just elaborate on what the bird class is. I'm interested.

I'm not doubting peoples opinions, but I am saying that making fun of an idea is never a good thing. Besides, I don't know if you guys know this, but there will be wings in 1.9. Creating a bird class would make sense.

 

pretty sure everyone knows that if you read the thread, he said it himself, and yeah, wings get added why not make a bird class because its "logical" to do so, oh tnt got added? lets make a cannoneer class, etc, etc, it doesnt make sense to just make a class because of updates.

 

Maybe not, but nonetheless, I'm interested. Server ideas are for ideas, not implementations. Not every point will get accepted. However, the amount of criticism and sarcasm this man got was unwarranted

Just because you don't see the need for it doesn't make it a bad idea.

 

Simple: you nerf is so badly that it's worse than the nerfed elf c:

Constructive criticism here: Firstly, unfortunately elf can already "fly," and a class that can fly any more than the non-nerfed elf is just too powerfully mobile. (That is not to say that the non-nerfed elf itself is too powerfully mobile!) Secondly, when giving a class idea, you should get familiar with the game of CTF, know the roles of each class and each class's counter, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as metagame (which is the playing style of the class which was not planned by its designers). Once you get to know that stuff, you're all good to suggest an addition to the rather delicate class network. And finally, you should really give a very detailed description about what the class is, what abilities and items it has, and what its role in the game is; simply suggesting a flying class frankly is not enough.

Looking critically, the main problem with a bird class is that it would be air focus mobility, which no other class has (air mobility being able to move around and control yourself while in the air). This would make a bird class able to avoid most combat and be able to just escape so easily to a place that no one can follow. It just isn't fun when there is no way to fight back. Sure, an archer and mage could shoot it, but that's about it, and archer takes a lot of leading. While a fun concept, a flying class really has no place in a ground placed game. I'm sorry, but I don't see a bird class happening in the near future just because it would unbalance the game to critically.

Though I haven't played much of elf, the air puff mechanic doesn't make elf and air based class, it can move though the air, but it's not it's main method of transportations, and you have a limited quiver, so it's not ready-made for flying.

 

Bird class? Nah, just make elf good again

 

If you want to make Elf good again why not add the elytras to the elf class and its abilities s no new class is needed

 

Birds fly, the elytra wings glide. Perhaps a glider class? Or night owl class? that'll be cool!

Back in MCPvP I was a noob and I never got made fun of when I gave ideas. People were so nice back then.
