    Today, on top of all the lag that is usually caused by freeday, many people were spamming fireworks with fashionista, causing the server gamespeed reaching around 12% and my game crashing. Considering I usually get 300-800fps playing with max settings on ctf, this is just terrible. For those thick enough not to see that something is wrong, I have a short video where I crash whilst I hopelessly swing my sword at a teleporting heavy.


    Tl;Dr/Conclusion

    Please fix this ~ how is freeday meant to 'demo' free classes to new players if they don't work? If anything, it'll discourage them

    As I have said before, Fashionista does not have anywhere close to a significant impact on server performance. And, as I have also said before, the lag is not purely because of free day.

    Check the new thread called:"fashionista". But imo the "random" firework option needs to be removed to not have infinite amount of spam ammo xD.

    I saw that thread. What was I supposed to get from it? I know for a fact Fashionista doesn't cause lag on our servers. Yes, it seems like an obvious answer. I wish that were the reason our servers were lagging. Would be an easy fix.

    So it totally doesn't matter if everyone gets terrible fps, right? And whatever it is, whether it's fashionista causing it or not, the fireworks are damn annoying and the server still just doesn't work.

    You may have low fps due this, but not lag bro...

    But lag is not the same that low fps, lag is caused due a high latency on your internet, theres a slow (or bigger in some cases) reply between your server and Brawl.
    Low fps are cause because you have to load more pictures per second, which does not affects the lag, ping or latency.

    I already disabled Fashionista. But the other thread was implying that servers were crashing and lagging because of it, which is not true.

    Good, because people were abusing it by blocking sponges with crafting tables last week.

    And to do with fps lag, I never got fps lag on ctf before today when everyone was spamming fireworks. That was my point.

    There is hardly ever any server lag on normal servers for the rest of the week though, why can't freeday just be removed?

    Fps lag xD do you mean low fps?
    Fps are totall diferent from a internet connection; or a connection between 2 systems. It can't have lag.
    Am I wrong @NomNuggetNom ?

    That is not true at all. The servers have been struggling all week, and I can't figure out exactly why.

    I heard some servers have been getting ddosed lately but I'm not sure and I doubt brawl has.
