Your best mining run?

After the reset, I bought diamond pickaxe worth 3000 G and went mining till I use up this pickaxe. There were a few people who were mining as well, none of them survived. There was only one person who didn't attack me till the end, but got killed by another rogue whose head you see below. I blasted off 5 rogues with Blunderbuss. Some of them offered fake truce, some tried to get me behind when I didn't look (not aware I used F5 function) and always let them attack first, unbelievable that I could kill somebody when I used lose all 1v1 fights with people in dia armor using illegals. Once I got attacked by 2 people and died losing the gear, but I bought Carcano, returned following them with rogue tracker, shot them both down and recovered diamond pickaxe, Blunderbuss and ores.



After all I earned at least 865 G in cash. The head was worth 59 G.
After selling gems I earned:
3439 G from emeralds
4433 G from diamonds
4923 G from gold
3012 G from iron
1500 G from coal
Total gems: 17307 G.
18231 G earnings after paying 3000 G for pickaxe not counting the weapon I kept. It was a dangerous run.

 

This maybe off topic, but the blunderbuss is an effective weapon right? The carcano is really expensive now.

 

Honestly I didn't kill anyone with one shot, but with 2-3 the dodger was dead. Of course it works only on short distance.

 

So, it's better than a sword? I'm asking because, when I'm mining and I get attacked, I almost always die.

 

Blunderbusses is better in small spaces like alleys, houses, caves etc. but carcano is ultimatly more better

 

Blunderbuss seems to be a 2 shot kill at close range on leather armor. It also has better range than one would think. I suggest popping off one blundershot (new word) and stabbing them before they can drink dey purp.

I've never used the carcano, but it has pretty good stats for a legal weapon, as does the volcanic pistol. The volcanic only has one less damage bar than the Mauser c96 (illegal), which is veryyyy powerful, particularly with headshots. Mauser also has a ~1.5 second reload, but since you're doing something legal like mining, you might as well carry legal arms.

In close quarters combat such as the entrances of Decker mine, I suggest melee. If you're bad at that, run away and pop off some shots at your enemy. Remember though, you never want your enemy to be able to drink potions on ye.

 

I've used a carcano before (before the restart) and it is extremely powerful. It killed my attackers in 1-3 hits, depending on their armor. About the volcanic pistol, is it a really effective weapon?

 

I like the volcanic because it's only a bit less powerful than the mauser, and I don't have to hide it when sheriffs come along. It's not terribly expensive either. With headshots (which you should almost always be getting headshots - the head hitbox is huge) it kills very quickly. It has 8 shots (which is fine because you should be using your shots carefully) and a pretty slow reload. Like all Wild West pistols, the hipfire is pretty bad compared to Mc-War pistol hipfire. Aim down sights and it's an accurate gun.

 

My best mining run is 13k... Also @Gehenna_Beam that is very off topic xD

I one-shotted 4 people with blunderbuss. It's stats are as good as model's it just doesn't have the same amount of ammo it can hold in one volley.
