I agree With @Dukoda , Sheriff's are abusing their powers just a little too much. I agree with trying to stop them instantly hand cuffing you. That should be fixed.

 

Yeah it isn't fair that sheriffs are handcuffing me and suddenly I lose 18 stacks of drugs and gun, hard earned. It's not enough, they attach high bounties for each of them and send me to jail which causes losing diamond armor and sabre. It's ridiculous! We also want to handcuff other people taking drugs and guns from them, getting 2G for each drug and 200G for each gun! If we don't get this power to send andmulti, RyanO2 and Lord_Roke to prison, we must say "Sheriff's are abusing their powers just a little too much."

 

Honestly, what is the difference between a "drug lord" (stacked player with best gear and gun that one-shots) camping a rebel base and one-shotting anyone who enters, and a sheriff who camps a rebel base and handcuffs you on sight?
Just food for thought.

This is why I check bases once an hour or so and don't spam check them unless I get a tip from a credible source. Basically: don't let people see you processing! They might eat you out. I make only one exception: wild grass, which I check 4 times a hour or more often. I HATE how donors get special privileges so I do that to level the playing field. I hang out by conductors though. I mean, don't rob a conductor in broad daylight, man. I arrest rouges. I go to mines where they are. I back other sherriff up. I try to go where the go. Why? Because if 2 sherriff are at a rebel base, then one sheriff isn't at 2. Makes it fairer. I always leave people's stuff in their bodies if I find it, except for medicine and food. I don't take armor, guns, or swords. I'm obligated to take and autosell the illegal stuff though. I try to give people who run away a fair chance. I rarely shoot. I do get skidish around full diamonds though so don't jump behind me and say boo. I've ALMOST freaked out at my fellow sheriff Sugar cookie because he likes to ride into bases on his horse and that's really scary. But my point is that I try and be fair. If I arrest you, I probably got lucky or you're hanging out in town with a red name tag. I think more sheriffs should do the same.

Drug lords are owners of good teams btw, ALSO The gear sheriffs have are 50% better than ours. They can one shot us if they are decent enough, plus they can just right click us and it's game over.

 

First of all, sheriffs can't "camp" at rebel bases and most don't even do it. I rarely stay inside a rebel base for longer than 5 minutes.
If you don't like the sheriff handcuffs, go chill in a tower. It's very difficult for the sheriff to get up there without getting killed.
For example: I came to check out poppy where my fellow sheriff StarZManZ had died.
This meant I could shoot on sight, but that wasnt needed. 2 fully geared diamond guys camping a tower and shooting me. Just because they had bad aim I could defeat them.

The point I was trying to make was from the not-so-great-doesn't-have-good-gear-yet average player's perspective.

Your average solo player walks into a rebel base in hopes of making just a little bit of cash to start out with. Lets say they have even tried to do things legally by mining, but got killed on sight. This unfortunate player sneak-walks to the processor then attempts to find somewhere to hide. Without any chance to fight back, they are one-shot by a stacked player. Hypothetically speaking, lets say the same situation with different characters. This time, replace the stacked player with a sheriff. The player sneak-walks into the base and finds a hiding place. Without any chance to fight back, they are handcuffed by a sheriff who was waiting for this to happen (maybe because the sheriff was just doing his normal rounds @RMST1 or maybe because the sheriff was camping, it depends on the sheriff) and sent to jail (the legal equivalent of killing someone in this game).

That was the point I was trying to make. To the average player who just needs some starting cash, the sheriffs are no more over powered than a player with good gear, it is only when you place the two head to head is there a difference. I was just trying to introduce a different perspective into this thread.
