    It looks lovely, but it's pretty open, so it's archer and engi op. The big tree opposite the flagroom is especially good for archers since one can basically control half of the map. I'd recommend putting in some routes that are impossible to headshot - maybe extend the map to the side, or add some tunnels?

    Other than that, great job!

    Aesthetically, it's great. Gameplay-wise, could use some tweaks.
    The flagroom seems pretty easy to defend - rather enclosed around the flag. Also, like was mentioned above, the entire area above is very open. There are many high points for archers. Perhaps find ways to add additional cover or, like Rhoske suggested, add alternate routes?
    In general, seems like a nice map. I'll have a better look on build sometime!

    Hello GalaThundR,

    Have you shown me this map before? It looks familiar. Anyways, thanks for submitting this map!

    Pros
    • Great map size (~110 wide and ~170 long).
    • The overall design of the map is great. 110/100 would play. I love all the entrances you have to the flag room, the midfield, the bridge... It's nice. Reminds me a bit of the layout of River Crossing by flyguy23ndm (which is also a great map, for anyone wondering).
    Cons
    • The theme of the map is not original. Other maps with the ruined theme that are currently in rotation are Valley of Ruin, the recently added Orchid Cascades, and the rework of deserty desert strike (which is more of a deserty ruin, true, but the ruin theme is still there). I would love to see this map with a more original theme.
    • The middle area design is great, but if I had to choose something to improve, it would be a few paths through to guide players. Right now it's just wilderness with a few dabs of cyan clay.
    That's about it. Great map design, but unoriginal theme. Overall, I'd love to see this in rotation.

    looks pretty cool but I definitely wouldn't add it to the rotation unless some changes are made.
    there are a few pointless trees that server as nothing but camping spots, especially the one next to spawn:

    it's really archer op. I can stand in 1 spot and have a view of pretty much the entire mid, including the other teams spawn side:

    ur gonna get massive engi problems in the two circles near the flag I highlighted. couple this with the fact that spawn is right near will mean getting to the flag will be a huge pain in the ass.

    the flag area in general is really defensively op. reminds me very much of valley of ruin original and lighthouse V, both of which are very hard maps to cap on.

    changes you need to make imo:
    -open up the flag room and make it easier to access
    -remove the choke points around the flag that engis can capitalise on
    -try ur best to remove the archer camping spots. if u need help finding them I can probs try to find a few more

    Gala, I really like your maps- but please try to refrain from using a ton of effects in your presentations on forums... They are rather misleading, and make the maps look way better than they actually are. I'm not saying they're bad- they aren't- but just the way you present them just sets them several levels above where they belong.
