Idea Minor Mage Suggestion

    Alright, a lot of people find mage very annoying, and a lot of people also cry out on saying that "mage is balanced". While that remains true, one thing that is very annoying about the class is its sustainability. It feels like an absolute waste to be 1v1ing a mage, you use 2 steak and they lightning spell you away to throw down their heal spell, only to continue poking you and attacking you. And that's kind of the problem, the fact that u have theoretically infinite regen and you never need a medic or engineer to regenerate your health or restore your items.

    I think in order to change this sustainability by doing one thing- tweak Mage's heal spell
    How I would change it:
    Half current cooldown from 8 seconds to 4 seconds
    Keep current regeneration duration (4 seconds)
    Heal spell stacks up to 3x, one stack regenerates every 30 seconds (regeneration can be changed)

    My idea is that mage won't have its broken sustainability anymore to poke anyone down and survive without losing or having a reduction in amount of items, quite the contrary from every other class (except assassin) that has items that requires a medic to restore them.

    The way it would affect mage gameplay is that it would force mages to be more "passive" when they poke people, as they can only get one regen pot every 30 seconds up to 3 seconds, and it would give anyone fighting a mage a better fighting chance.

    My biggest issue with mage is how it can keep a large crowd of people from touching it. This is a ranged class, so it makes sense to keep it's enemies at bay, but if every spell just adds more and more to keeping the enemy away from it it becomes almost impossible to get near enough to it do any type of damage. Then all the mage will do is run away, heal, then go back right at it.
    My Suggestions to mage are:
    Reduce all knockback effects from spells EXCEPT lightning. The lightning spell's sole reason to exist was to push players away from the mage. Seems kinda counterintuitive if all the spells apply knockback. (even if it's not that much, it can still define if the mage lives or dies)
    Nerf its armor. I find it quite ridiculous that mage has better armor than elf of all things. I think Elf's armor enchants and Mage's should be switched. Considering Mage has an infinite health pool and a huge array of spells to keep itself alive, this nerf will (hopefully) make mages use their spells more strategically instead of going to a group of 10 people and managing to kill all of them by using only 2 spells.

    The only problem with mage is lightning, however I find that if you just shoot it and don't hit a general area, you are dead. It usually takes a few people to get you. The only thing is, mage is completely open to a wide variety of options. Unless your an assassin or ninja, you probably won't hurt a mage. Nerf da lightning, not da heal.

    Couldn't mage just wait and get 3 heal spells before each battle? I think this would be more of a buff than a nerf, since the cooldown is halved and most fights don't end up with mages using more than 3 heal spells.

    The only "technique" I've seen mages, in general, use is backing up and holding down the damage spell. Imo, the only thing that needs changing is the knockback of the damage spell (the knock back should just be zero).

    Thats true. Lightning is just enough to protect mage. If you can't use lightning, your chances of survival are about 20%

    Being a good mage myself, IMO mage heal spell is op. SOLUTION: give them like 10 of the same heal spell till they need a medic to hit them. Thats all
