Just a thought I had about the new "tipped arrows" in 1.9...
WARNING: THIS MAY ONLY BE AVAILABLE IN 1.9 AND UP!

What if a Chemist used a splash potion of poison on his archer teammate, then the archer could get a few (1-5) Arrows of Poison? I know Archer was meant for sniping from afar, but if someone got to close, you could pop a poison arrow on them and start swinging away with your sword! I like this idea because it promotes teamwork (something that is not normally seen that much) and I simply like all things that have to do with potions. This would only work with Archers because Pyros and Elfs already have their "special effects". Tell me whether this idea absolutely stinks or maybe if it might just be interesting...

CTF should have lots of team work mechanics like this.

This actually sounds pretty cool. But you're right, until Brawl ditches 1.8, you won't be able to have the tipped arrows, so for now this can't get added.

I actually like this idea a lot. Not sure if poison would be too OP, but having other potion arrows like that would really be cool ;D

I think this is a really good idea. I think to make it fair you'd have to have more of this kind of teamwork benefits, so it's fairer though.

I love this idea but I have a few questions.
Would the archer still be able to snipe with the tipped arrows?
How long would the effect be?
What tier would the effect be?
What if the archer's arrows are all turned into tipped arrows. How will it get regular arrows again?
Does the chemist's buffed potions effect the archer's arrows aswell?
Lastly, Would medics delete the new arrows when they heal the archer?

    Here is my input

    1. I think the effect should actually last as long as it is splashed on them for.
    2. I'm not familiar with these sorry but if you mean what level of poison than II
    3. The arrows will be turned back after the effect is done.
    4. They should meaning don't miss and hit a enemy!
    5. If a medic healed a Archer while under "Friendly" effect it shouldn't do anything.

What if an enemy chemist effected a friendly archer with regen and then whenever the archer shoots that chemist, will the chemist be given regen? XD

I'm actually planning on making up other team benefits along with this one, just inform me if I go too crazy with any of it XD

Very good questions Thunder, lemme see...

    Sniping with tipped arrows
Not too sure on this one, if the archer ends up being too close to headshot, they'd still give you that arrow effect. And if you keep getting these tipped arrows from Chemists, you could dominate. I'll leave this up for discussion.

    Effect Length
In 1.9, tipped arrows all have a special length of time they last (I believe a quarter of the amount of time the drinkable potion lasts), so probably just those times

    Tiers?
Same tiers as the Chemist pots that the arrows are splashed with

    Too many tipped/regular again?
That one medic nerf helped A LOT! What I mean by that is perhaps the archer gets a cool down time once they get tipped arrows, so Chemists don't turn all your arrows into tipped. I mentioned that probably a small amount of arrows should be tipped when archers are splashed (1-5), and to make arrows regular again you could eat Engi Cake or perhaps rinse them off in the water

    Chemist buffed potions
I guess so, maybe if you see your teammate from afar running with the flag, you could hit them with a strength/speed arrow to give them an edge. However, this does bring up how Instant Health III could be OP, so that might have to be improvised (Instant Health I upon becoming tipped arrow)

    Medic Deletion
I'd say you get your full 128 normal arrows back, and any tipped arrows would stay in your inventory
