Intro Player View Distance

    Hi Brawlers!

    I just recently created a Brawl account, but I've been playing on the server for quite some time. (My past username is linklover1899) I play this server at least once a day, and I love it a lot! The game I mostly play is capture the flag, and I play archer most of the time.
    So heres my problem:
    Whenever I try to snipe someone from say, 50 blocks away, and they back up, I cant see them anymore. But I'm pretty sure that they can see me, so they snipe me. I have been killed many times because of this issue. I have tried putting my render distance up but that still doesn't do anything to solve it. It may be because I usually snipe from high places, such as on top of castles. I've read on other forums that the owner of the server is the only one who can change the player or entity distance. So if that may be true, let this be a suggestion. If you might know some way resolve this that I can do, please let me know!

    Some more info:
    Im using a Mac
    I play on 1.8.9 (since 1.9 combat is still very confusing to me)
    I use release 1.8.9-OptiFine_HD_U_H5

    This happens to me too, and its very annoying. Apparently its there to fix lag, though.

    Hey there! Welcome to the forums! You'll fit right in with the ctf family here! ^-^ also, I know how that feels. I main archer as well and it's annoying when your render distance is all the way up and you can't see them. If you have any questions you can always send me a pm and I'll do my best to help you out!
